The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) advanced deep inside the last ISIS stronghold in the middle Euphrates River Valley on March 3, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).

“We monitored more advance by the SDF in the last few hours, which allowed the group to further tighten its grip on the remaining ISIS fighters there,” a report by the SOHR reads.

The UK-based monitoring group said that 7 SDF fighters and 18 ISIS members have been kill since the beginning of the final battle in the Euphrates Valley two days ago. The number of casualties of both sides is expected to grow in the upcoming few hours.

The remaining ISIS fighters, repertory less than 300, are currently besieged within a 600m2 pocket north of the town of al-Baghuz al-Fawqani. These desperate terrorists began conducting suicide attacks in a last attempt to fend off the SDF’s offensive.

US-led coalition warplanes and special forces are backing the SDF’s final attack on the terrorist group. Despite this, the battle will apparently last for several days.

300 inside a 600m2 pocket, that cant be right? Like shooting fish in a rainbarrel

I guess they meant a 60.000m2 pocket instead since a soccer field is approx 6500m2 if i remember correct.
