SDF Releases Details, Numbers About Its Operation In Southern Hasakah, Eastern Deir Ezzor

FILE IMAGE

On August 8, the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) revealed in an official statement that its fighters killed 418 ISIS members, including 16 commanders, and captured 29 others during their military operation in the southern al-Hasakah countryside and the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, which was launched on June 3.

SDF fighters also destroyed 45 vehicles of the terrorist groups and captured loads of weapons, including hundreds of light assault rifles and dozens of rockets and mortar rounds.

As a result of the operation, which was backed by US-led coalition warplanes, 71,360km2 of Syria’s territory were liberated and 191km of the Syrian-Iraqi border were secured. Furthermore, hundreds of civilians were evacuated from ISIS areas, according to the SDF.

The large-scale operation ended on August 4 when the SDF captured ISIS’ last positions in eastern Deir Ezzor. Now, US-backed forces are planning to launch a similar operation to eliminate the remaining fighters of ISIS along the eastern bank of the Euphrates river. Some Syrian sources believe that the operation will begin within a few weeks.

The whole Syria has around 185,000 Km2, so it’s impossible that they have cleaned up, in this operation, 71,360 km2. Even all the syrian territory occupied by these guys don’t has such area, = 38% of the territory. Must be a freudian lapse

Misplaced decimal point.

I see you have your calculator out jorge. What is the error in meters squared, like what Bill said.. :)

jorge

One million m2. But Bill has a problem on his hypothesis. If he was right, then the correct number would be 7,1360, a number wrote with 4 decimals (0,1360), out of the usual norm. So, sorry, but I insist on the freudian lapse.

Excellent. :DD

This Hegelian, problem, reaction, solution US armed secession attempt by the Kurds to set up Israelistan in NE Syria under the guise of fighting terrorism is part of the evil Jew Yinon plan. Israel should have never been admitted to the UN in the first place and should be expelled and replaced with Palestine. Efforts at the UN to begin this process should be supported and advanced:

“A United Nations human rights expert is under fire after suggesting Israel could have its member status at the world body suspended over alleged violations of international law. …

He said that Israel is in “direct contravention” of more than 40 U.N. Security Council resolutions, including resolutions condemning the building of settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

“What should be done with respect to a member state who clearly defies a body of UNSC resolutions, contrary to their responsibilities under the Charter and as an occupying power?” he said. “If this behaviour is ignored, then the offending member-state will surely take that as a license to continue the prohibited act, and the status of international law will be degraded.”

“If it is clear that Israel has no intent to comply with the repeated direction of the international community, then other measures within the remedial menu should be considered and applied,” he said, adding that similar measures had successfully been used against other countries before.”

Anything backed by israhell or jewSA is highly suspect, and anything they say should be interpreted as lies until shown otherwise.

This was an interesting little operation to follow. It appeared that the SDF allowed the ISIS units that were scattered about in that desert to regroup in the villages to the north before launching their offensive in conjunction with Iraqi forces that prevented ISIS from fleeing back into Iraq. The SDF squeezed ISIS out of one village after another while leaving them an escape route to the desert in the south where there was much fewer water sources. The SDF knew where those were so simply chased after them until the ISIS survivors found themselves stuck where no water existed, such as the old eastern oil field and the salt pan where the final battles were held. I’m sure the SAA will use the same method to eliminate the remaining ISIS units stranded in the southern central desert.

Willing Conscience (The Truths

418 killed and 29 captured out of the estimated 5000 Isis fighters that were supposed to be here, not too bad, that’s nearly 10% of them gone that’s great, but what about the other 4553 that have just disappeared into the countryside, what are they up to. SAA controlled Abu Kamal is being attacked frequently from across the river from US controlled territory, and the Isis pocket in Hajin has managed to resist and repel any and all SDF advances for nearly 3 months now. Media reports say it’s due to the SDF and US’s unwillingness to put civilians at risk by pressing the offensive, but I’m not so sure about that, I remember Raqqa, let’s see what happens in 3 or weeks when they do begin this new offensive. I think those 4553 Isis fighters that suddenly just up and disappeared into the countryside have been a lot busier than the US would like us to know. They may have disappeared from the map but they haven’t disappeared into thin air, unless of course they’ve given up on the notion of Jihad, and all of them just packed up and went home, yeah sure.
