SDF Releases Its First Official Statement On U.S. Forces Withdrawal From Syria

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) condemned the White House’s decision to withdraw U.S. troops from Syria and said that it will have “a negative impact” on the ongoing anti-terror operation in the region and will encourage terrorism and its supporters.

“We affirm to the international public opinion that the fight against terrorism is not yet over … It is at a crucial and crucial stage that requires concerted efforts by all and greater support from the international coalition to sustain it, not a withdraw from it,” the SDF said in an official statement released on December 20.

The SDF also warned that the U.S. troops withdrawal will have “dangerous consciences” on international security and will “disappointing the hopes of the peoples of the region for security and stability.”

A day earlier, President Donald Trump said on Twitter that the U.S. has “defeated ISIS in Syria.” Later, the White House confirmed that U.S. forces are withdrawing from the war-torn country and a U.S. official revealed that the withdraws will be over in 60 to 100 days.

Trump’s decision resulted in a backlash from many U.S. politicians and officials, who believe that the U.S. should stay in Syria only to pressure Iran and Russia.

The only solution to avoid Turkish rule now for SDF is integration with Syria. The government may not give Kurdish autonomy but they might allow local councils with devolved powers. KRG and Peshmerga will only do the bidding of Turkey.

They could also create a “Provincial” system, such as in Canada, wherein, the French, for example, in spite of losing the War to Britain, have their own Province (Quebec) but are still subject to the Federal Government and Canadian Constitution of 1867 ( BNA Act).

You can call me Al

A better example would be – the Kurds in Iraq.

No offence.

USA helped them to fight ISIS and even SAA..but USA will not help them to fight NATO Turks!…but without SAA…Kurdish will be defeated by Turkish army and Turkestan Islamic party terrorist gangs!

A war with Turkey will pull more troops in – opposite of what Trump wants, even if US soldiers don’t fight themselves.

Joe

Talking rubbish. In fact terrorists were safe with US around if SDF does not know.

Terrorists outside US controlled areas were easily wiped out.

2% Syrian Kurds cannot rule on whole Syria. Yes if they have capabilities then they could nominate candidates to participate in Syrian presidential election to see who wins.

Sounds like Tommy wrote this….

the entirely corrupt dis-organised states of A withdraw its troops. turkey puts the kurds in their place and then withdraws across the border and Syria takes control of its territory and the kurds can go back to being part of 4 different countries’ borderlands, turkey, syria, iraq and iran. no independence but on the other hand no more war.

Kurd don’t understand, America is only using them, they do not care about thembas seen in Iraq. The best way is for Kurd to come to some sort of agreement with Syrian government to stop Turkish aggression and being ruled by Turkish occupiers.

jorge

This declaration reveals that these guys can’t understand nothing.

I just noticed something after so many years: The map of Syria in the SDF banner includes the “Hatai” province of Turkey.

No wonder they’re not popular up north!

Check it yourself.

The little asps are slithering as fast as they can for shade. Let them bear the brunt of SAA heat and it’s allies. These vermin have been murdering and ethnically cleansing large swathes of Arab land. SDF commanders who took part in such operations have to be executed after a fairish trial. The rest to be given the choice to go home or to Turkey.

when will they ever learn

Willing Conscience (The Truths

The Kurds know the horrible truth the US isn’t telling anyone, but we’ll all know soon enough because the Kurds are about to tell us. They’re going to tell us that Isis isn’t really finished in northern Syria. They’re also going to tell us at least 4600 Isis fighters escaped the last SDF campaign against them. And they’re also going to tell us that Isis is poised to make a resurgence soon after Erdogan invades, and at the very same time the Kurds are being made obsolete. They’ve already told us this but get used to it, you’re going to hear it a lot more from the Kurds. The first 2 things are true and the last will probably also become a reality as well eventually. Isis still has a large presence in Iraq not too far east of the Syrian border and a coordinated effort between this group and the Syrian group could cause major problems still for whoever’s in charge of northern Syria, and if the Turks do actually invade. The convoy of US trucks with heavy machinery and mine cleaning equipment going to Syria in the last SF story might be going to help the Iraqis with their Isis problem, I hope that’s the case.
