Late on March 26, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) repelled another attack by Turkish forces on the outskirts of the town of Tell Tamr in northern al-Hasakah.
According to the Hawar News Agency, Turkish-backed militants attacked the village of al-Dardarah, to the north of Tell Tamer, under the cover of artillery fire. The attack was, however, repelled by SDF fighters.
SDF fighters killed three Turkish-backed militants and damaged a pickup armed with a DShK 12,7 mm heavy machine gun.
This was the third Turkish attack on the outskirts of Tell Tamer this week. On March 24 and 25, the SDF repelled two attacks on the villages of Tell al-Laban and Kuzaliyah. A total of nine militants were injured.
Last week, Turkish forces carried out a similar wave of attacks on SDF positions near the town of Ain Issa in northern Raqqa. All the attacks were repelled by Kurdish fighters, who killed several Turkish-backed militants. The SDF handed the bodies over to the Turkish side on March 27 under Russian mediation.

Turkish forces are apparently planning to escalate the situation in northern al-Hasakah. More attacks will likely target the outskirts of Tell Tamr in the upcoming few days. The Christian town is the stronghold of the SDF. Russian and Syrian government forces are present there.
