The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) stormed the ISIS-held village of Buhasan in the middle Euphrates River Valley and imposed control of large parts of it on December 27, according to Kurdish sources.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) confirmed that the SDF is rapidly advancing and said that US-led coalition warplanes are supporting the Kurdish-dominated group by conducting intense airstrikes on ISIS gatherings in the Euphrates Valley.
“If the bombing continues in this way along with the flee of more civilians and families of ISIS members, and, members of the Islamic State [ISIS] organization hand themselves over; the existence of the Organization may end within days,” the SOHR said in its report citing sources familiar with the situation.
During the last two days, the SDF liberated the town of Bukhatir, north of Buhasan, and killed more than 200 fighters and commanders of ISIS. Local sources said that hundreds of other terrorists fled the Euphrates Valley.
The remaining ISIS fighters are now hiding in a very narrow pocket between Buhasan and the town of Baghuz Fawqani near the Syrian-Iraqi border, which is also under attack by SDF forces.
I like the story and hope all is true.
