SDF Will Set Syrian-Turkish Border Aflame If Turkey Launch Invasion, Group Leader Says

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) will set the Syrian-Turkish border aflame if Turkey launch a new invasion into northern Syria, the leader of the Kurdish-led group, Ferhat Abdi Şahin, warned during a video press conference on November 26.

The leader, who is known by his nom de guerre Mazloum Abdi, said that Turkey is preparing to attack three areas in northern Syria, Kobane, Manbij and Tell Rifaat.

On November 20 Turkey launched a large-scale operation against Kurdish forces in Syria and Iraq, codenamed Claw-Sword, in response to the recent bombing in Istanbul. So far, the operation has been limited to air and artillery strikes. However, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has already warned that the operation could soon morph into a ground offensive on the SDF in northern Syria.

Ankara believes that the core faction of the SDF, the People’s Protection Units, was involved in November 13 Istanbul bombing, which claimed the lives of six people and wounded more than 80 others. Abdi has, however, denied any involvement and called for an international investigation into the terrorist attack.

“If Turkey starts the war, the entire Syrian-Turkish border will be set aflame… this battle will be different from its predecessors,” Abdi told reporters from around the world.

Turkey launched three invasions into northern Syria in 2016, 2018 and 2019, all of which deepened the country’s humanitarian crisis and failed to address security threats to Ankara.

Abdi said that both Russia and the United States, the main backer of the SDF, are against any new invasion of Syria, adding that the “international stand must be stronger because Turkey is determined to attack.”

“The US administration officially informed me, through Brett McGurk, of its rejection of the Turkish operation. Washington is communicating with Ankara to stop these attacks,” the leader explained.

Russia has warned the SDF of a possible Turkish invasion into northern Syria. Senior officers in the Russian military grouping in Syria reportedly asked the group to hand over its territory along the border line with Turkey to the 5th Corps of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) to prevent a new invasion. However, the group refused.

While the SDF is not apparently ready yet to hand over its territory to Damascus, Turkey’s threats have made it more open to coordination with the SAA.

Abdi said during his press conference that the SAA “should protect” northern Syria, stressing that the SDF is looking for better cooperation with the army against Turkey.

The Turkish military and its proxies in northern Syria are currently making preparations for a possible ground offensive against the SDF. The group itself has been also deploying reinforcements along the border with Turkey.

The objection of Russia and the U.S. will make it harder for Turkey to launch a new invasion into northern Syria. However, the position of the two international powers could soften if the SDF continue to reject making any political or military concessions.

Israel is a Terrorist Colony

The SDF should give the land back to the real Syrian government in Damascus.

They are Syrians but also Kurds, misrespected up to today but collaborated with SAA against rebels and jihadists. A federal or autonomist resolution would be the best for Suriya, YPG, all the loyal components President Assad as well …. But he prefers that his Russian ‘ally’ steal Syrian lands to give to INHUMAN GENOCIDALS…. TELL ME WHY! UP WITH SURIYA! ALL GENOCIDAL INVADERS BACK TO INNER ASIA PATS FORWARDS!

IT. You are brainless stupid idiot

Kalb Al Assad

Assad Defeated Zionists

The SDF is surrounded by enemies on all sides and would be gone in a couple of weeks if its couple of lines of supplies were severed. All Turkey has to do is take out the Semalka crossing and the other border crossing with Iraq Kurdistan. Those secessionist PKK-YPG-SDF terrorists need to be cuttoff from their Zionist masters once and for all.

As I türk I will be very clear. neither the United States nor Russia is going to stop us. these countries are nothing for us, they are very far from the place of conflict and have noting to say. that the United States stop interfering in the affairs of others. that Russia takes care of Ukraine. given the jerk she takes in Ukraine she should not bring it back. now concerning the PKK/YPG it’s always the same thing about the threats, each time it ends the same way we dismantle them. it is clear that a second state of Israel will not be allowed to emerge on the land of the Syrians. we will protect our border at all costs and whoever wants to prevent us has an interest in paying attention and looking at history. everyone who faced us paid a heavy price.

Turkey could solve this by creating a 30 km no military zone on its own territory and not in Syria.

Omg, how can you say such a stupid thing? need to think a bit

Assad cannot defeat the Kurds, he is trying to hold them as neutral as he can. Someone needs to teach them a lesson, they serve globalist interests. Turkey’s action is rather unpopular in NATO, but they won’t say anything because they need Turkey.

Dave

Rubbish. Aptal aptal konuşma. Erdogan bombed his own people to find an excuse. The entire Kurdish problem is illusional (for Turkey, not for Syria). PKK made deals with E. – there is no threat. E. is only interested in being re-elected. He needs a war for that. He ruined Turkey‘s economy and he‘ll ruin his entire country hunting ghost threats, i.e. either non-existing ones or ones he created. YPG etc. are no threat to Turkey. Left allone they would soon dissolve since even the ppl who supported them are fed up with them now.

If Turkey can guarantee that the US can steal all the oil it wants in Syria, then the US will support Turkey in the fight against the Kurds.

Many Turkish and American lives will be spared if they use imprisoned IS fighters as frontline soldiers.

Israel will provide support if they can later use the remains of IS soldiers for their purposes in the fight against their enemies.

Until now, the Kurds have had support from Israel and the United States, but the Kurds can be sacrificed for the good cause.

ISIS and Israel have always been good friends and have not fought each other.

So easily this problem can be solved.

Stealing Syrian oil, funding future wars and having Uncle Sam dictating – only then can you say things like this, as Elensky.

Reconcile with Damascus. Cut a deal.

Everyone knows that you have been providing security for the transport of Syrian oil and agro to primarily Turkish buyers by way of Iraqi Kurdistan. It’s time for you to cut a deal.

Tehran and Baghdad already have.

Like how they did before? Oh wait, they run away like apes after the US pull out.

Also, I just want to say that these terrorists are getting out of hand and should be killed, what he really means is terrorism. Remember when I said SDF/US/Zionists/Wahhabis holding a lot of ISIL members in N-Syria? Watch as SDF/Kurdish gangs free them into N-Syria (It is going to backfire and we are going to see the US move in even more). It is all part of the plan.

The right thing they must do is give those areas back to Syrian government and let Russia, Syria and Iran take care of it.

Why doesn’t Damascus let Turkey cleanse all the Kurds? They rejected the Syrian government and sided with the USA to loot land and resources. Why so much Kurdish love in Syria? 🇸🇾

Nothing comes for free and it is likely that Turkey wants to permanently occupy the land like Cyprus (occupied since decades from Greece). However, you are right. Someone needs to deal with this thugs and only Turkey has the immunity against NATO (being NATO itself) to do it.
