Yemen’s Houthis (Ansar Allah) have launched a second phase of its military advance on positions of Saudi-led forces in the area of Saadah, near the Saudi-Yemeni border.

Two important news came from Tehran today, the Iranian Chief of Staff for the first time acknowledged that the IRGC and regular Iranian army (Artesh) is providing advisory “technical assistance” to the Yemeni military and will continue to stand by Yemen until victory. The second announcement said that Iran has provided air defence systems to protect the PMU and expanded its security presence in Iraq at Sheikh al Mazhar airbase near Baghdad.

And hopefully now we know how good Iran’s Bavar system will work. It makes sense to first install a good air defense network in Iraq first before transfering it into Syria. As long as the IDF has free reign over Syria and Iraq the Iranians are vulnerable while setting such a system up in Syria first. It has to be pushed gradually towards Syria first, so the IDF loses airspace from which to launch attacks as new air defense systems come online, expanding the network.
I believe it is quite good. The Khordad 3 proved better than expected and had 100% success rate against Americunt drones and would have also downed the manned Poseidon P-8 but stopped due to political reasons. The Bavar 373 is its older brother :)

Iran’s IRGC giving assistance to Houthis: Iranian army chief of staff
Yemen’s Houthi Ansarallah militia is receiving assistance from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), said the chief of staff of Iran’sarmed forces Maj. Gen. Mohammad Bagheri, the semi-official Tasnim news agency reported on Tuesday.
“We are giving the Ansarallah [Houthis] advisory and intellectual assistance and the IRGC is in charge of this,” said Bagheri, adding that Iran “will stand by the Yemeni people until the end.

Not a politician but I always thought it would be better for Iran to be up front about the help they are giving the Yemenis since it only amounts to technical support.
Does it violate a strict interpretatoin of UN Sec. res. 11859? Yes but so what, the U.S. violated the UN resolution 2231 otherwise known as the JCPOA. The UN resolution on Yemen was totally one sided and unlike the JCPOA unworkable (must have been authored by the U.S.). It required the Houthis and their coalition to disarm, withdraw, and give the governance back to Hadi who has been in Riyadh for 4yrs authorizing Saudi war crimes. He will never govern any part of Yemen again.

When you watch the first movie, you have to wonder, what the Saudis fired at with all the empty cartridges lying around. Were there any clashed before? if so, why didn’t they clean up the places? It looks like they were defending hills on a dumpster.
