Over the past few days, security forces have arrested 18 ISIS members in a series of security operations in the area of Mosul, including the areas of Zahra, Tessein, Baladiyat, Abar and Wihda. Earlier this month, security troops already detained over a dozen of ISIS members in the same area. However, this has little impact on the current security situation and these efforts are not enoguh to put an end to the presence of ISIS cells in northern Iraq.
Separately, an IED blast in the city of Baghdad injured at least one person, according to local media. The Iraqi capital also remains a soft target for terrorists.
Wherever you find ISIS, you find the USA. Iraq will never get rid of ISIS, whilst the US is able to pay and support them.
