On September 14, the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) and the Afghan Air Force (AAF) carried out a series of coordinated military operations against militants in the provinces of Nangarhar, Ghazni, Paktia, Logar, Kandahar, Badghis, Faryab, Baghlan, Balkh and Helmand, according to the Afghan TOLO TV.
“In the last 24 hours, ANDSF launched 12 joint offensive and clearing per-planned operations and the Commando forces did 114 special tasks and the AAF did 12 strikes on insurgents’ strongholds in different parts of the country. As a result of these operations, 67 insurgents have been killed,” the Ministry of Defense of Afghanistan said in an official statement.
TOLO said that another 28 militants were injured during the ANDSF and the AAF operations. Furthermore, several hideouts and weapons were destroyed.
Such joint operations cause significant losses among the ranks of the Taliban and ISIS. However, observers say that the Afghan government and the NATO will have to launch large-scale attacks to counter the growing influence of these groups, especially in the northern and eastern parts of the country.
Well insurgents are not the Taliban, so why even mention them ?.
Or so they say!
The US foreign occupation forces carried out a series of operations throughout Afghanistan and killed 67 Afghan officials from the previous legal government.
