The Turkish Interior Ministry released a report on the security situation in the country in the period from October 29 to November 5, 2018. According to report, security forces carried out 2,143 anti-terror operations neutralizing 45 “terrorists”:
- 25 – killed;
- 10 – detained;
- 10 – surrendered themselves.
The report stated that Selim Demiroglu and Ilyas Karakoc were among the “neutralized” terrorists. They both are members of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).
Security forces arrested a total of 4,577 suspects: 740 – for aiding and abetting terror organizations, 3,698 – for crimes linked to drugs and smuggling, 139 – for human trafficking crimes.
Government troops destroyed 38 shelters and 15 improvised explosives and mines, which had belonged to “terrorists”. They also seized 42 hand grenades, 895 kilograms of explosive materials, 29 guns and 746 rounds of ammunition.
Turkey’s terrorists are Kurdistan’s freedom fighters. With 35 million Kurds living on there own land in Turkey-Syria-Iraq-Iran this fight will continue forever. Turkey is fighting Kurdish guerilla warriors. Kurds are fighting Turkish genocide and ethnic cleansing.
Your ‘guerilla warrior’ fantasy is a bit too neat – alas, like many guerilla militias, Kurdish armed factions fund their hardware purchases and illicit activities through organized crime – PKK are known for deep involvement in large scale heroin trafficking.
