Acting Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will not likely assume the position of the Foreign Minister in the new Russian government, according to Russian sources close to the Kremlin.
69-yo Sergey Lavrov was the Russian Foreign Minister from February 24, 2004 to January 15, 2020, when the entire Russian government resigned. Since January 15, Lavrov has been working as the acting foreign minister of Russia.
The newly-appointed Russian Prime Minister, Mikhail Mishustin, is currently working to form a new government. MORE HERE
This could really mean anything. What do we know about his replacement?

I could readily understand if he wished to retire from the current demanding role that he now has at the age of 70.
I would understand him but he knows that his country needs him and that’s why he keeps serving. This may sound as pompous words but what he does is a true definition of serving his Motherland.

Russia like Iran needs a tougher FM to deal with Americunt thugs and Zionist leeches. Lavrov was too soft and did not respond to the numerous threats adequately. Russia is now NATO’s prime target and should be building strong alliances and more resolute and united than the moth ridden Warsaw Pact. Iran is perhaps the best choice as a strategic partner as it poses no threat to Russia and is the guardian of its wide open southern flank where the Americunts will try to destabilize it from Ukraine to Caucasus and Iran is only obstacle to their designs.

Lavrov was a statesman, a diplomat, and a gentleman. He will be missed.
As Russia might miss this man standing up in public to anti-Russian thugs and telling it like it is…I will miss him as well. When has there been a western diplomat with the brass balls to tell it like it is? Then, to be a personally likeable person to boot. His April fools jokes were gold, even as US pols acted like prigs. He has a sense of humor as well as a stare that could burn holes in his adversary. I will miss his presence.

I remember a couple of days ago South front posted and article where it was said that according to their “sources” Lavrov will NOT remain Russia’s foreign minister. It sounded like a wishful thinking. South Front, please! You can do much better than that. Please, look closely at your sources of information.
