AlMasdarNews reports: This evening, a roadside bomb (IED) killed seven Islamist fighters and wounded about a dozen more; all the deceased militants were of foreign descent.
The bomb blew up near the Military Institution Building in Idlib city.
Graphic pictures of the incident are available here.
Although no one has claimed responsibility of the bombing, local rebel groups were quick to accuse the Syrian Government and its intelligence apparatus of the attack.
Recently, assassinations have occurred on an almost daily basis in the provincial capital of Idlib and its countryside, leaving several commanders dead.
Both ISIS sleeper cells and government spies have been accused; however, rebel infighting is a very real possibility as well.
