Several rockets landed near the US embassy in the Iraqi capital Baghdad on January 26, acording to two security sources quoted by AFP.
One of the sources said that 3 unguided rockets hit near the high-security compound, while another one said that 3 rockets struck the area.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
This was the latest in a series of rocket attacks on US installations across the country.
Since the US assassination of a group of Iraqi and Iranian officers in Baghdad on January 3, tensions between the US and Iraq have been rapidly growing. The Iraqi Parliament even voted to expel US troops from the country. However, Washington is not planning to do so.
