Turkey’s Ministry of National Defense announced that one soldier was killed and 5 others were injured during clashes with the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) and the Kurdistan Worker’s Party (PKK) on June 25.
In an offical statement, the ministry said the clashes erupted following an attack on Turkish military positions in the area of Afrin in northern Aleppo. The Turkish military and its Syrian proxies occupied the area in early 2018.
The YPG-affiliated Afrin Liberation Forces (ALF) claimed responsibility for the attack in an official statement released on June 26.
“On June 25, our forces targeted two positions where soldiers of the Turkish occupiers were stationed in the village of Gilbara of the district of Sherawa,” the ALF’s statement reads.
The Kurdish guerrilla group also released a video of the operation showing its fighters launching at least two anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs) at Turkish military positions.
In the last few months, the ALF managed to kill and injure dozens of Turkish soldiers and Syrian militants in Afrin and its surroundings. Most of the attacks were carried out with ATGMs, improvised-explosive devices (IEDs) and sniper rifles.
good job
?
That’s the straightest flights of ATGMs that I’ve seen so far from watching this conflict. Most will corkscrew around like a flying bug before it hits a windshield.
ALF is doing a good job. Combined with mercenary infighting, with forces going to the south and with additional forces to take the countryside of afrin, there will come a moment the mercenaries will withdraw to the cities. Once SDF is able to counterattack the region in large numbers, mercenaries and their families will be thrown out and refugees can return.
they are doing nothing. if the news above is true, it’s because Turkey needs this kind of events for some reason.
” Once SDF is able to counterattack the region”
Turkey is simply looking forward to this. I mean, SDF without USAF support, against Turkish proxies with TuAF support would be ludacris. Unless you believe the US is going to make war with Turkey over the SDF.
Who knows whether Turkey will have an operating airforce the next few years. They already arrested most of their crack pilots for being gulenist. Once the F35 deal is over, tit for tat reprisals will soon get Turkey embargoed buying spare parts for their f 16′ s and then one waits for them becoming non operational. I cannot guestimate how long it takes, but Erdogans and Trumps abrasive personalities enhance the chance for this to happen.
you gotta be kidding, unless you believe that some divine intervention will help zionists achieve their goals (which even under a theosophical perspective would be utter bs).
“crack pilots”
You don’t need crack pilots to bomb a few hundreds of israel appeasers to oblivion in an uncontested airspace.
A half dozen of adequately supported multi role planes will be sufficient.
Besides, in the worst scenario, where the US vetoes aircraft/parts deliveries to Turkey, they will start buying SU-35s or even Su-57s, planes that in Syria proved high effectiveness in the destruction of zionist appeasing rabble.
Dutch idiot you dreaming dreams again . Afrin is liberated from terrorist do you want SDF whatever you for this idiot to come back? not going to happen
It’s not just the Kurds attacking Turkish armed forces atm. syrialiveuamaps has some interesting news.

After all Erdogan’s warnings and threats the SAA aren’t relenting at all, they’re actually pushing the limits of Erdogan’s patience and going even harder, YIPEEEEE. I think Assad’s actually trying to drive a wedge between Putin and Erdogan, he wants to pry that treacherous leech from Putin’s back and is actually doing this to force Putin to make a choice. YIPEEEEEEEE. Putin has no real choice, he has to back Assad, especially since the recent election results in Istanbul, the 55% popularity for Erdogan has just fallen to 45%, and when that result also becomes true for just half of the rest of the electoral districts, Erdogan’s political career is over Putin can’t really build any sort of alliance with Erdogan, he has no political longevity in either the foreign or domestic arenas, Assad’s not going anywhere though, not if Putin continues to help him and not Erdogan that is, if Putin continues to help Erdogan more than he does Assad, he may lose both of them as allies.
