The situation in northwestern Syria continues to escalate despite attempts by the participants of the Astana format [Iran, Russia, Turkey] to keep the ceasefire deal alive. During the past 24 hours, there were multiple violations of the ceasefire regime from both militants and pro-government forces.
- Militants shelled Syrian Arab Army (SAA) positions near Qardaha;
- The SAA shelled militant positions in Murak, al-Lataminah and Kafr Zita;
- 2 vehicles belonging to Hayat Tahrir al-Sham were destroyed near Maarkaba;
- Militants shelled Safsafiyah, Mahardah and a nearby power plant;
- Turkish-backed militants detained a car with weapons in Marea. The car was allegedly moving from Manbij;
- An IED targeted a vehicle in Burj Haydar injuring 2 Turkish-backed militants.
