On August 18, the Kiev regime did not stop terrorist shelling on civilians in the Donetsk city agglomeration. Aiming no military targets, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue killing people in the regions that Kiev lost.
According to the official reports by the JCCC of the Donetsk People’s Republic, in the morning three civilian men (born in 1998, 1996 and 1998) were killed as a result of the detonation of a previously unexploded cluster munition of the AFU. Two more men were wounded as a result of the incident. The incident took place on Treneva street in the Kievsky district of Donetsk. Alll the victims were employees of the local municipal entreprise and were killed and wounded during the repair works in the war-torn city.
The Ukrainian military is constantly sharing residential quarters of Donetsk and other settlements with its obsolete cluster munitions. Ukraine also received cluster munitions from the United States as part of the Western military assistance. This type of munitions ais prohibited by an international convention because of a high risk for civilian population. The document was ratified by 123 countries, but the United States and Ukraine are not their list.
Cluster munitions are shelling Donetsk on a daily basis, despite the Pentagon’s claims about the “exceptional” use of such shells by the Armed Forces of Ukraine only for military purposes.
Later on the evening, three more civilian men were killed in the Voroshilovsky district of the city. According to preliminary reports, an explosion thundered in the area near the local school #5. The victims were reportedly construction workers who were working on the spot. More details are yet to be officially clarified.
During the day, at least four more civilians were wounded by Ukrainian artillery shelling in the Kievsky district of Donetsk, Makeevka, Nikolskoe, Vasilyevka.
