On April 17, Slovakia claimed that it had completed the transfer of 13 MiG-29 fighters promised to Kiev. Bratislava announced its decision to transfer the fighters to Kiev on March 17. The first batch of 4 aircraft was transfered to Ukraine on March 23.
According to the head of the Ministry of Defence of Slovakia claimed that transfer of the remaining 9 aircraft was carried out by land and it was “an important and complex logistical operation.”
Slovakian authorities attempted to calm down their population, claiming that the country does not need the MiG-29, but these aircraft will provide valuable support to Ukraine. In its turn, Bratislava will receive 12 new AH-1Z Viper combat helicopters from the US.
Earlier on April 3, Poland also sent several MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine. It was not reported how many aircraft the country was going to deliver to Ukraine and in what time frame. In February, media reported that Bulgaria was considering sending fighter jets to Ukraine, but Sofia claimed that it was not ready to do it for free.
However, there is never enough gifs for the Kiev regime. The representative of the Ukrainian Air Forces has recently claimed that Ukraine needs any help, but Kiev still waiting for US F-16 fighters or other fourth-generation aircraft. In its turn, Washington sees no need for transfer of advanced military aircraft to their puppets yet. The West led by the US is mainly aimed at escalating the military conflict and prolonging the war as long as possible.

😂 – US munitions are as compatible with the MIG-29 as the USD is to the UAH. Another NATO fiasco… incompatibility at NATO country member’s assets at taxpayer expense. Get rid of the incompatibility (making the gifting country look good) by providing Ukraine, at taxpayer’s expense, in order to obtain new military equipment that is compatible at a cost to the country’s taxpayers. If being a Ukrainian tankman, infantryman, pilot or artilleryman wasn’t bad enough who’d want to be a Ukrainian logistician. You need to find parts, trained mechanics for various disparate planes, tanks, artillery pieces, drones etc. The weaknesses of NATO are exposed for all to see.
Those planes are junk, probably not even in service anymore, due to the age and lack of parts. Furthermore, the Russian air defense network will shoot them down before they can do any real harm on the battlefield. Or, the Russian Aerospace Forces will blow those planes out of the sky. They might even blow the planes up on the tarmac with missile strikes. Either way, more people will be killed for nothing.

Slovakia did the right thing. Russia’s air defense was getting bored. Is there anything worse than not having any targets to shoot at? Of course taking down 13 jets can be done rapidly. I just hope Ukraine take’s them to the sky one at a time over a period of time, just to extend the fun slightly longer. Then it’s back to playing cards.
