The Qatar-based TV Channel al Jazeera reported citing some “source close to the Israeli Prime Minister” that Russia would allegedly allow Israel to fight Hezbollah from the Syrian airspace.
Al Jazeera used this “inside” in its coverage of the visit of the Israeli delegation to Moscow.
The Kremlin denied this rumor.
“I cannot comment on the information. This has nothing to do with reality,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
Most Russian assets are still owned by Jews, Putin himself came to power because a Jew recommended him. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was true.

Nothing has changed. Russia has said all along that they are not Syria’s air force nor their air defense network. The RuAF and their air defenses are there to kill headchoppers only and protect THEIR assets, not Syria’s. Syria must defend itself from Israel aggression If they can’t or will not, then it’s not Russia’s problem. I think this is a wise move – Russia does NOT need to get mixed up with a U.S. proxy war for Israel in Syria. Syria must rebuild it’s own air defense network and start taking out a few Israeli F-16s. Not that it matters much in the long run – Israel has plenty of stand-off weapons and doesn’t need to enter Syrian airspace for most attacks in the south and around Damascus.
Of course Syria is outgunned by Israel and Russia understands that. Israelis are fools to provoke Hezbollah in Syria though. Once Hezbollah gets beat up enough from Israeli air strikes, they’re going to head down to the Golan and visit the Israelis for some pricetag payback. And they’re not going to go down there lightly armed like before. The IDF will start crying like babies as soon as Hez starts taking out their armor with modern ATGMs. This is guaranteed to end bad, all thanks to Israel.
