The Australian government has selected South Korea’s Hanwha and Germany’s Rheinmetall to participate in the next phase of its US$10.3 billion infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) program, being delivered under Project Land 400 Phase 3. Hanwha’s AS21 Redback IFV [a variant of the K21 vehicle] and Rheinmetall’s Lynx KF41 will progress to a 12-month risk mitigation activity program later in 2019. This will test the IFVs under operational conditions.

Project Land 400 Phase 3 (Mounted Close Combat Capability) will acquire up to 450 IFVs to replace the Australian Army’s M113AS4 armoured personnel carriers. The Australian government will receive for an acquisition phase decision for consideration in 2022.

Why does it look so similar to the PL-01 from Poland? (aesthetically)

Zionism = EVIL

Because South Korea is the new cloning capital, they steal technology and reverse engineer total crap.

More like the opposite. SK cloning from Poland? Poland, whichs GDP is made up in the majority of selling stolen cars from western europe? ;) Credit where credit is due. SK is a top level high tech producer.

Zionism = EVIL

Hopefully, they don’t smell of Kimchi and are better that the tinny Hyundai/Kia shitboxes.

Protection against IED´s? Yeah right, that IED´s handgrenade size, on the frontal arc on the turret?

When i was deployed to Iraq, we had british Warriors being blown from one side off the middleshoulder on Highway 6, to the other by an IED.

And 42 tons for an IFV? Thats way to much, the vehicle is to limited to good stable bridges and its size overall is to big for any effective urban warfare.

And only a 8-man squad? Either they need two vehicles per squad or they have small squads. When i was in the army, a normal squad size was 8-12, and that was not to much for all the shit we had to carry around, wich also meant that each squad was spread out on two M113G3´s or two GD270´s because it was to cramp and we had to much gear to haul.
