Southern Damascus: ISIS Is Allegedly Preparing To Surrender Its Positions To Syrian Army

Click to see the full-size image

Following the establsihment of a temporary ceasefire in southern Damascus on May 19, reports appeared that remaining ISIS militants have reached a surrender deal with pro-government forces.

Under the alleged deal, ISIS members will unconditionally surrender their remaining positions to the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and withdraw to the Homs desert without heavy weapons and vehicles via an open corridor.

According to unconfirmed reports, the SAA has already establsihed control over the last parts of the al-Hajar al-Aswad district and are preparing to enter the district of Taqadom and the Yarmouk refugee camp.

However, these reports as well as the existence of the deal still have to be confirmed officialy. The Syrian state media says that there is no deal.

Earler SAA and local sources have repeatedly said that there will be no deal with the remaining ISIS militants. However, the situation on the ground across the country may have changed forcing the SAA to deal with the southern Damascus issue faster than it was expected. One of such factors is the recent series of incidents with Israel.

Glory To The Syrian Nation!

Jaysh-Al-Saudi hesitated too… but they went… Now ISIS is hesitating… but they will go… Destroy them in Homs Desert SAA & Allies! Go…Go…GoOO!

FlorianGeyer

Although it would have been satisfying to see the Wahabi’s totally destroyed or surrender unconditionally in Yarmouk, I am not one of the courageous SAA and allied troops risking my life in a brutal ‘Fighting in Built up Areas ‘ campaign.

The desert area has become a dumping ground for ISIS and although that is a threat to the SAA it is hopefully less costly that a FIBUA operation against suicidal Wahabis in Damascus. It will of course necessitate the significant reinforcement of SAA units operating in the desert to eradicate them there.

I am blowing my own trumpet here when I say that I thought a good strategy was to use the desert areas as a final killing ground of ISIS in Syria about 12 months ago ? All sorts of new weapons can be tested there against willing ISIS Guinea Pigs.

But you did Your part Bro….

FlorianGeyer

” But you sure did Your part Bro..”

All those of us who seek to promote the reality of the US Coalition of Terror here and elsewhere are humbled by the sacrifices the Syrian nation is making to preserve her ancient and revered history.

All we have lost is the friendship of those who believe the infantile US Coalition propaganda concerning the Middle east and elsewhere. That is a very small price to pay I am sure you will agree Merijn.

However we will both have seen the cracks forming in the US narratives and some of the ‘nay sayers’ who disagreed with us are now grudgingly seeing through the fog of the propaganda assault on their common sense.

If People after all those Years Haven’t seen the “Light” yet & the Way things are working… Too Bad… Some People live Behind A Six Feet Thick Concrete Wall… and I Prefer to Push the Russian Narrative… Because the West turned out to be a Big Fucking Psychopathic Liar….

FlorianGeyer

I agree with you Merijn but all to many are unwilling to take that lonely path, especially in its infancy.

Most people prefer to follow the Pied Piper into cognitive oblivion it seems.

The West Will pay a High Prize for their Ignorance in the End… and can lose it All…I’m not worried about any Scenario… it will always have a positive Outcome… For me personally….Always look at the Bright Side O’ Life….

I watched that film several times :)

It is a measure of U.S. and other Western governments’ hypocrisy to see the incredible destruction of Syrian cities due to this war. Too,, the U.S. and Western allies clutch their pearls however over insignificant numbers of deaths SUPPOSEDLY caused by chemical weapons yet don’t bat an eye at the over 500,000 unnecessary deaths caused by this international attack on Syria.

The U.S. has undertaken to wage war on a sovereign nation not because authorized by the Security Council but because it arrogantly has decided that it can do what it wants on the world stage. The U.S. wages aggressive war for which Germans were prosecuted at Nuremberg but weeps over bogus chemical weapons victims. U.S. war making is also unconstitutional and hundreds of thousands of Syrians have died as a result but it is “Assad must go” from here to breakfast.

America’s association with Saudi Arabia and Qatar and its support of al Qaida and ISIS are repulsive. Our claim to be “exceptional” and “the indispensable nation” is disgusting.

FlorianGeyer

The tide is turning and even the US is not powerful enough to change that I think. The US has literally spent 7 trillions of dollars for nothing in Iraq and Syria so far.

This is also a tragedy for the American People who are forced to suffer the debt by falling living standards and decaying infrastructure.

All of it of course for the Sacred Cow that is Israel.

Ace

The U.S. has come a long way from being charmed by such movies as “Exodus.” Jews had a certain amount of sympathy for their experiences (not that they’ve shown the least interest in the suffering and murder of a heck of a lot of other people) but that’s gradually faded. These last atrocities on the border are just ghastly and you just can’t argue with the video of young men being shot at and SHOT while nowhere near the border and walking AWAY from it. If that isn’t emblematic of Israeli attitudes and morals I don’t know what is. Plus, I don’t think many people fail to see through the garbage that Israel puts out about needing to “defend itself” with its constant attacks on Syria and support for the headchoppers. Just as we have been, they have been compromised by their gruesome alliance with jihadis. You don’t come back from that. It’s what’s known as squandering your moral capital, assuming you had any to begin with.

The imperial, unconstitutional U.S. and the Israelis are revolting.

FlorianGeyer

The problem is though that most people in NATO countries learn a warped and false versions of history from Hollywood and compromised ‘documentaries’.

This is changing I agree as there are some acts that the NATO countries media cannot fully ignore in the internet age.

velociraptor

You should finaly enroll yourself as volunteer in the 5th legion. :)

Oscar Silva Martinez

I would love to seen them dead in Yarmouk too, I don’t like it every time they say they have reached an agreement with the enemy but this is the best for the SAA and its civilian population, fighting all the rotten eggs in one basket in the open desert is much better than fighting them in narrow streets flooded with tons and tons of rumble and surrounded by many wrecked buildings which are the perfect hideouts for those pigs.

FlorianGeyer

I agree.

Behold a Pale Horse

Now there is a string of army bases from foreign governments in other areas, the SAA is limited on what it can do now. I guess the Jordanian Border needs securing.

Behold a Pale Horse

Sorry I meant ‘observation posts’

Promitheas Apollonious

you said it correctly the first time.

Rob

Finally Trump issue them green signal that you are our valuable asset and we don’t want lose you therefore, leave the south Damascus.

Merijn

Mo’ Missiles….Shoot them ZioNazi-FUKUS-Birdies out of them Skies…

Redadmiral

This is a great Victory for the SAA, PLA and Liwa al Qads. Damascus is at last secured. The clean-up operation will take some time. However, SAA and it’s victorious allies will need some down time to replenish their platoons, companys, brigades and to bid farewell to their comrades who will not participate in the next campaign. The march of this victorious Arab Army is sending shivers through the child murderers of Tel Aviv. ISIS now burning the evidence of their ISraHelli pay cheques in Yarmouk

Redadmiral

ISIS now burning…. https:twitter.com/hashtag/SouthDamascus?src=hash

We all (mostly) hope that the Daeshtards will face extermination, but if it is tactically expedient to extradite the vermin, then so be it.

seawolf

Homes desert is a good place for the Americans to re-employ, retrain and resupply ISIS and use them against Assad. I am afraid that Assad will end up with a lot smaller Syria than now, just because Russia is negotiating on his behalf with the American. Russians hope to solve the problem in Donpas and sanctions making Americans happy.

Merijn

Let the U.S. Train, resupply & Deploy new ISIS-Troops… will make Great Satellite-Images….Syria will be of the Syrian People… there is just an Illegal Occupation going on just like on the Golan & Palestine… I don’t think Europe is with the Divided States sanctions that much any Longer…. U.S.Rahell is becoming a bit Isolated these days… Forget this French Faggot… Empereur Macroni von Rothschild and his Dumbass French Foreign Frog Legion are Irrelevant…

velociraptor

Already leave

https://www.almasdarnews.com/article/breaking-isis-terrorists-begin-leaving-southern-damascus/

Mike

Yeah, crying in your basement there solomon.

velociraptor

Assad is like americans. Saves the lives of isis animals. Assad created isis. :O

AJ

Assad created ISIS! that is the dumbest thing you’ve stated in a while – so he creates a terrorist force to overthrow himself lol. You know perfectly well US actions in Iraq created ISIS.

velociraptor

I reapaet your bullshits only. :DDDDDDDDDDD see you, how big oxes are you? DDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

AJ

Yawn Yawn zzzzzz

Mike

Yeah I can see mossad really hires the idiots for spaming online, I guess you are part of the retard brigade or unit of mossad.

frankly

Scheesh, give yourself a slap

Mike

Got nothing to say, so much for Jewish intelligence.

gustavo

Well, we believed that stupidity was already in the past, but here it is. Fortunately, it is a species about to disapear, I hope. Please, take a lecture of some good comment, maybe it can bring you light on your head.

Merijn

Bwahahahahaa you Cunt-O’-Raptor… you’re so funny every now & then….I’ll reward you for that with an Upvote… thanks for the Laughs….

Promitheas Apollonious

you must run out of your pills again, haven’t you.

frankly

posted before read yours, like minds

PZIVJ

“Assad created isis” LOL lizard head :)

velociraptor

you know exactly, how i meant :P you are one of the rare people here, who has higher IQ.

Mike

You are one of the people here with no IQ.

frankly

Settle down craptor, the attendant will bring your meds soon.

Mike

You Israelis have been defeated in Syria, now have the decency to get lost solomon.

Vidura

LOL looks like SAA cant even defeat ISIS when they surrounded also with air superiority. :D FAIL!

AJ

This actually makes sense for them to evacuate – its much harder to fight in a urban area then let the enemy leave to open desert where they will be a much easier target. There were evacuations in EGhouta, Aleppo, etc.

Samantha Green

But where they are, they are cut off and surrounded so they can be crushed using the Powell principle of overwhelming force, one isolated pocket at a time. If they are allowed to concentrate, then the SAA no longer has overwhelming force. Though I suppose it is conceivable that the loss of heavy weapons, vehicles and human shields, plus the gain of the buildings and possibly vehicles to the SAA, might be worth it.

Merijn

You Lost….hehehe… soon you’ll Swim… hehehe

PZIVJ

And how long did the Raqqa and Mosul operations take? Hmm The US coalition was not concerned about civ loses there, where they.

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

They took about 10 months respectively and massive loss of civilian life while evacuating several thousand ISIS to fight the SAA in D.E. like they did in Taqbah also.

frankly

Too bad for you eh, you want a Raqqa style pile of rubble, all civilians dead, right? Secret little thrill for you watching Israelis beat children with rifle butts. Enjoy it while you can, this too will pass!

Mike

Yeah, well vidura they are being sent to the Homs desert where they will be finished off, well your stupid post shows how chummy you Yanks are with ISIS. Your level of military opinion border on pure stupidity and incompetence, thank god you worthless Yankee ass is no more then an unemployable basement dwelling key board warrior. Who talks a lot of shit about being a mighty American warrior, but you would never be first to join the military and go see for yourself if you are that hard and tough, Yankee doughboy.

§âm

I expected that to happen, ISIS are tough bastards.. even besieged they held their ground

frankly

Tough bastards fight to the death, Silly boys ride the bus! It’s Ok you can admit you love ISIS, most psychopaths do! They must have run out of Captagon!

§âm

Well well well, Frankly is back for round two…. They forced the government to evacuate them instead of surrendering, impressive acheivement by besieged fighters without any reinforcements or airsupport. They are stupid, but i admit they are brave and loyal to their stupid cause. So no i dont love isis.

Mike

Now they will be easier to eliminate in the desert where they are being evacuated.

frankly

If you knew how Captagon influences troops you would not call them brave or loyal, mostly addicted.

TheSecular

The taking of Damascus may not be as remembered as taking aleppo was. But we should see Damascus full clearance as a result of the post-aleppo battle.

World_Eye

The best time to bomb this scum of the earth is to bomb them while leaving. Period.

gustavo

If the terrorists have the hope of continue with their stupid life, they have to unconditionally surrender to SAA. If they do not do this, well have a happy death terrorirsts.

gustavo

The coming fighting are even more difficult since now Syria-Hezbolah-Iran-Russia forces have to fight with Israel (Daraa), with USA (At Tanf), Al Raqqa, Omar oil fields), and with Turkey (Idlib). I have not doubt that the new modern Russian weapons that Syria has and Russia aeroespace strong support, victory can be achieved effectively.
