Stephen Bannon, US President Donald Trump’s chief strategist, is leaving his post, spokeswoman for the White House, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, announced on Friday.
“White House Chief of Staff John Kelly and Steve Bannon have mutually agreed today would be Steve’s last day,” Sanders said in a statement. “We are grateful for his service and wish him the best.”
Earlier on Friday, reports appeared that Trump had told senior aides that he had decided to remove his chief strategist.
Meanwhile, other reports suggest that Bannon insisted that the parting of ways was his idea. According to this version, Bannon had submitted his resignation to the president on August 7. It was set to be announced at the start of this week, but this was delayed after the violence in Charlottesville.
Joel Pollak, a Breitbart Editor, has already reacted to the news, twitting “#WAR”. It looks the most popular American media outlet “Breitbart News” may have no more will to support the administration.

The die was cast when Trump asked for Flynn’s resignation. Flynn wasn’t perfect. He was too hostile to Iran, but at least he had long been vocally against arming Syrian rebels.
At first I thought Bannon would be a strong Trump supporter, however, it seems he had his own agenda and might have been the cause of various leaks. I see Trump’s West Wing becoming a revolving door, until he will find the right people to support his agenda. Mc Master, Gary Cohn and all other pro neocon and Wall Street crowd are succeptible for similar treatment.

Bannon was for the original Trump platform, whereby you provide economic opportunities across the board, curtail illegal immigration, provide tax cuts…etc, people would be happy and enable republicans to have control of the executive and legislative branch for the next 30-50 years. After Trump was elected, he ended up being surrounded by people that did not share that vision, and Brannon was in direct conflict with Trump’s West Wing, and Trumps daughter and son in law. I believe Trump still retains his original vision, he needs to recycle the people around him and make sure he has control of the armed forces.
