Steregushchiy-class corvette Gromkiy
Steregushchiy-class corvette Gromkiy entered service with the Russian Navy’s Pacific Fleet on December 25, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement on its website.
Gromkiy is the second ship of the class. She’s a multipurpose corvette designed for littoral zone operations, engagement of enemy submarines and surface ships, and gun support of landing operations.
Kh-35 subsonic cruise anti-ship missiles, 9M96E surface-to-air missiles and 100mm A-190 Arsenal naval gun are among Gromky’s armament.
