ISIS claimed that its cells had carried out 280 operations in Iraq and Syria over the last 30 days in an infographic released by its news agency, Amaq, on May 16.
According to the infographic:
- ISIS cells in Iraq carried out a total of 201 operations between April 13 and May 13, including 73 attacks in Kirkuk, 57 in Diyala, 30 in Saladin, 17 in al-Anbar, 15 in Baghdad and 3 in Babylon.
- ISIS cells in Syria carried out a total of 79 operations between April 13 and May 13, including 40 attacks in Deir Ezzor, 11 in Homs, 10 in Raqqa, 9 in Daraa 6 in al-Hasakah, 2 in Aleppo and one in Hama.
The group claimed that 437 people, 315 in Ira and 122 in Syria, were killed or injured in its operations. Furthermore, 84 vehicles, including 21 armors and 40 pickups trucks, were destroyed.
- In Iraq: 64 of the operations were carried out with explosive devices, one with a booby-trapped vehicle, 66 involved clashes, 7 were assassinations, one was a raid and 5 fires.
- In Syria: 30 of the operations were carried out with explosive devices, one with a booby-trapped vehicle, 21 involved clashes, 18 were assassinations, 2 were raids and 2 fires.
The terrorist group’s cells also destroyed 33 thermal surveillance systems, 19 houses and farms, 14 electricity towers and 4 military bases.
ISIS has for sure exaggerated the results of its recent attacks in Iraq and Syria in an attempt to raise the morale of its supporters in the two countries.
The terrorist group stepped up its operations in both Iraq and Syria this year. In Iraq, Kirkuk remains a hub for the group. In Syria, the group is most active in Deir Ezzor and has been working to expand its influence in Homs and Daraa.

The system does not hand out free publicity to its actual enemies.
6. Most people in our society are cowards.
They will jettison all the fine values and principles which they have been loudly boasting about all their lives merely to avoid the slightest chance of public criticism, inconvenience or even minor financial loss.
7. The mainstream media is nothing but a propaganda machine for the system…
…and those journalists who work for it have sold their sorry souls, placing their (often minimal) writing skills entirely at the disposition of Power.
8. Police are not servants of the public…
…but servants of a powerful and extremely wealthy minority which seeks to control and exploit the public for its own narrow and greedy interests.
9. Scientists cannot be trusted.
They will use the hypnotic power of their white coats and authoritative status for the benefit of whoever funds their work and lifestyle. He who pays the piper calls the tune.
10. Progress is a misleading illusion.
The “progress” of increasing automation and industrialisation does not go hand in hand with a progress in the quality of human life, but in fact will “progressively” reduce it to the point of complete extinction.
