The Armed Forces of the Russian have won another strategic victory. According to preliminary reports, Russian forces took control of the village of Belogorovka and the large stronghold at the local chalk quarry in the Seversk direction.
Fighters of the 7th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation completed the mop up operation in the village of Belogorovka located on the border of the Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics. The newly shared footage showed Russian flags all around in the ruins in the area.
The battle for Belogorovka has been ongoing for two and a half years. Together with the chalk quarry, the village was pne of the main Ukrainian stronghold in the Seversk direction. This was the most important tactical node, which connected several lines of Ukrainian defense and allowed flexible maneuvers of Ukrainian forces and counterattacks. The dominant heights called the White Mount (Belaya Gora) and the industrial facilities there were heavily fortified.
According to preliminary reports from the battlefield, on February 22nd, Russian forces took control of the White Mount and repelled the Armed Forces of Ukraine from their large fortified bunker on the northwestern outskirts of the quarry, which secured Ukrainian control of the village, the quarry and the forest area to the west.

Ukrainian formations are forced to hold the front under constant Russian artillery fire and assault operations, which lead to high losses and weakening of the entire Ukrainian defense.
Details about the ongoing battles in the area are yet to be revealed, but it is clear that the Russian military resumed active offensive operations and destroyed one of the largest Ukrainian strongholds in the Seversk direction. Ukrainian defense was weakened by prolonged battles, and the ongoing Russian attacks will alow them to largely expand their zone of control and increase pressure on Seversk from the eastern direction.
