On August 25, Russian forces continued their systematic strikes across Ukraine, targeting port infrastructure, transportation logistics, and command-and-control facilities. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the overnight attack included an Iskander-M ballistic missile, a Kh-31P air-to-surface guided missile, and 150 strike drones.
The main weight of the strike fell on port infrastructure in Odesa region. In the port of Pivdennyi, a dry cargo ship carrying military cargo was hit overnight, along with port infrastructure facilities used for offloading military supplies, as well as a tanker, while in the port of Odesa, a dry cargo ship was also struck. Additionally, the Vinohradivka-Vulcanesti border crossing on the Ukrainian-Moldovan border was hit overnight, which had previously been targeted, along with two other international crossing points in the area, while parts of Odesa were left without electricity and water following the nighttime attack.
Throughout the day, Russian forces continued strikes on maritime vessels and port infrastructure. In the port of Pivdennyi, two additional dry cargo ships carrying military cargo were hit, along with four storage facilities containing military equipment, as well as port infrastructure used for offloading such supplies, while in the port of Chornomorsk, fuel reservoirs intended for the Ukrainian Armed Forces were struck.
In Zaporizhzhia, strikes hit a truck parking area and maintenance buildings. In Kharkiv region, targets in the city of Kharkiv, Balakliia district, and the area around Lozova station came under fire, while in Izium, the target appeared to be an ammunition depot.
Strikes also hit a launch preparation site for a Ukrainian Flamingo cruise missile near the settlement of Fedorivka.
Explosions were reported in the south of Ternopil region, and drone activity was recorded over Chernihiv, where the target was also a local warehouse.
In Dnipropetrovsk region, strikes hit the Karavan shopping center in Dnipro, as well as targets in Pavlohrad, Shakhtarske, and Nikopol district, while in the Pishchanska community near Novomoskovsk, a Ukrainian ammunition depot continued to detonate for about an hour following the strike, with some road sections closed.
The strikes on August 25 continued the pattern of systematic attacks on Ukraine’s logistics network and military support infrastructure, with particular focus on Black Sea ports, ammunition depots, and supply routes near the Moldovan border.
