On December 15, a Su-27 fighter jet of the Ukrainian Air Force crashed in the region of Zhytomyr, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said in a statement. The military added that the Su-27’s pilot died in the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
According to media reports, the incident happened near the village of Ozernoe where the 39th brigade of the tactical aviation is deployed.
That’s one less instrument of terror to be used against the civilians of Eastern Ukraine.
Add to the one lost in west UA training excursuses a few weeks ago, note the UA military training and recruitment activity is. unduly focused in NW UA, thus Zitomir region is not unsurprising for poor maintenance event like this to occur.
Even the parachutes don’t work.
Galicians!
Do you really think that it is any better in other regions of Ukraine?
Surely, everyone I know in Nikolaev is solidly pro-Russia (something the Kiev-appointed governor complains of)…the technically trained ship builders are being given jobs in Russia. In part, RU-navy rebuilding will be done in part from the Soviet-era investments in Nikolaev, the old main yard for the bg ships…obviously, this infrastructure in UA itself has been entirely neglected…unintended consequences….similar to Antonov situation being re-Russified. The main support for ATO comes from the former Austrian territories, mostly Lviv and Ivano-Franco and surrounding areas (essentially, the old UPA core areas, this has never changed). I would exclude Zakarpaty also as the Russyns as it were are usually friendly to Russia and often working there, as well as being friendly to Czech in the elderly generation (see Sub-carpathian Res, eastern province of pre WW2 Czechoslovakia, annexed by Stalin to Ukraine after war (for military reasons, I assume, direct access to CZ, Hungary across spine of Carpathians).
Let see how it unfolds. Lets hope that Ukraine survives and rejoins Mother Russia – that’s the best way possible for its people. Those UPA regions – they are not actually of Russian world. But Stalin knew his hokkey very well. Lets see how it unfolds.
maybe RUS tried some EW devices? who knows…. anyways, 1 nazi fckr less…. no mercy
oh thats not good for them they have a very limited number of old SU-27P’s
Ahh, the plot thickens. Was that one of SU-27s which was to be (or actually was) repainted in Russian Aerospace colours and was to be used in the planned provocation leaked a few weeks ago?
Or, maybe that was that one of SU-27’s I heard the Israelis wanted to ‘borrow’ for a reason I can only guess at……………
It would be interesting to know, and also confirm the pilots name and nationality.
shitty plane?
Good plane, crappy handling.
You own and drive the best car in the world, if you’re not spending a cent on maintenance and repairs, and let a moron drive it, it will fall apart or crash in an accident.
Like Ferrari’s, they handle magnificently, but rich jerks crash them all the time.
but … you are dead

Alas, poor Roger! I knew him, Beypuuke, a fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy. He hath borne me on his back a thousand times
Actually, great piece of engineering for the original design brief – maximum maneuverability and payload delivery per weight. But the Ukrainian’s have neglected their examples left over from from Soviet era. No budget and no maintenance – and then, they cut themselves off from any supply of spare parts by refusing Russian contracts…the result, expect more crashes in next years.
Porky Poroshenko could buy some US F35’s. That would really be entertaining :)
Fifty hours maintenance for one hours flight time :)
Ukraine today is a shitty excuse of a country.
But then countries dominated by Zionist Oligarchs always are.
It wasn’t the fault of the pilot, the swastika blocked his view.
Or the Star of David :)
Its a miracle that flying tub got airborne!
Why try to make them fly, if they have wheels…
If god had wanted Ukranians to fly he would have given them wings.
