Su-30 Fighter Jet Intercepted US Spy Plane Near Russian Border

A Russian Su-30 fighter jet made an “unsafe” intercept of a US P-8A Poseidon aircraft on November 25 while it was flying over the Black Sea, CNN reported.

“The US aircraft was operating in international airspace and did nothing to provoke this Russian behavior,” Lt. Col. Michelle Baldanza, a spokeswoman for the Pentagon said.

The Russian jet’s actions were deemed unsafe because the aircraft crossed in front of the US plane from right to left while engaging its afterburners. The Russian fighter jet came as close as 50 feet from the US aircraft.

Moscow has not commented on the event. Russian aviation forces regularly intercept and see the NATO jets off, with Ministry of Defense publishing reports about the foreign aircraft located near Russia’s borders.

Previously a US spy plane was intercepted by a Russian jet in June of 2017, when a Russian Su-27 fighter jet flew within five feet of a US Air Force RC-135 reconnaissance aircraft over the Baltic Sea. Before that, a US B-52 Bomber was enclosing on the Russian border, and was escorted away by a Su-27 fighter jet the same month. Also in June, a NATO F-16 fighter jet approached a plane carrying Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu as it flew over the Baltic Sea, but was seen off by a Russian Su-27 military jet

The Boeing P-8 Poseidon is a US patrol jet. It conducts anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, and shipping interdiction.

” did nothing to provoke this Russian behavior” :’)

Orcbuu

:^)

Garga

This is a prime example of the “Russian aggression”®™.

If nobody stops you, tomorrow you’ll want to unprofessionally ask the American vessels on their routine spy missions to leave your waters?

Shame on you Russians, shame on you!

“The US aircraft was operating in international airspace and did nothing to provoke this Russian behavior,” Lt. Col. Michelle Baldanza, a spokeswoman for the Pentagon said.

Oh those pesky Russkies! They dare to disobey when “Exceptional” nation led by “Chosen” nation is ruling the world!

Solomon Krupacek

oh my god!

Barba_Papa

Thing is though, Russia is a country along the Black Sea. The US sits on the other side of the Atlantic. The only reason it flies that far from home is to spy on another country. In which case said country can be expected to take offense to that and engage in some non lethal display of force. And it seems rich for the US to quote international law when it shows utter disregard for international law itself at every opportunity.

SOF

Russians lead the world in electronic warfare, so ‘did nothing to provoke this Russian behavior” doesn’t pull the wool over their eyes.

Vitex

Harden up, I’d have to say. Did you feel threatened? We just don’t care.

jetme

Russia has GOT TO rebuild its military bases in Cuba so that Russia can similarly fly by the US border “doing nothing to provoke”.

Solomon Krupacek

my boy, russia has no money to let run its radar station in cuba. about military bases can only dream.

As the #1 exporter of natural gas, the #2 exporter of oil and the #2 exporter of grain, Russia is doing better than you think despite sanctions. Wake up Grampa Rumplestiltskin. It isn’t 1991 anymore and Russia isn’t the Communist Soviet Union!

Solomon Krupacek

sou good, that the people massivle emmigrate, the gdp/capita and family income significantly decreased, the military budget was cat so brutally, that this will stop any modernisation.

i tell you something. WHEN rosatom will not use more turbines from General Electrics, i begin to believe you. but until that day, no. also in summer russia had to buy trubines of siemens, and smuggle in country, bacause without them was not able to build up the new plant in crimea. and this is the glorified russian energy sector! so boy, you can not me show any detailed analyses, which support your thesis. btw., in the 3rd quartal the russian economy slowed down, there was a panic in cremlin.

jetme

Again Grampa Rumplestiltskin you must wake up. It is not the 1990s anymore. During Communism and right after the Soviet Union fell in 1991 people were desperate to get out. But I can tell you for a fact, despite western propaganda (and it seems you eat a lot of it) emigration is not a problem for Russia anymore. More than 2 million Ukrainians alone immigrated to Russia when the US overthrew Ukraine’s government with a sponsored coup d’état. It wasn’t Crimea alone that wanted to be part of Russia. More than 2 million former Ukrainians are there. And millions more from the former Soviet republics. You need to wake up and realize when year it is. And stop eating western antiRussian propaganda. It rots your brain like drugs. Are you like 80 years old or something?

Solomon Krupacek

are you papagay, or what? dont talk me abou 1990!!! the russian population from 2014 again declines, you cock!

jetme

I have no idea what your native language is but it is not English and you sound like an idiot. Millions of immigrant are there illegally, They don’t show up on your statistics stupid. Now I am done talking to you.

Karel havlicek

I can tell you what is his native language. Have a luke on his name. Solomon Krupacek. So in original Šolomon Krupáček or Křupáček. That means is native language is Czech or Hebrew or Yidish if his family decided to return into country of his ancestors.

Solomon Krupacek

if you focus on language of others, you are simply idiot.

btw., illegal immigrant is nothing, it is parasite.

Karel havlicek

It is not only Russian population which is declining. German population is declining as well. Would you say that they have bad life standard?

Solomon Krupacek

i am talking about russia! germans and russians are from 21 planets. uncomparable. russia loses the educated people. in the last years mostly moslem immigration happened. germany grabs the educated people from whole europe.

jetme

And the Siemens turbines were only a problem because Russia put them in Crimea violating abusive US sanctions. Russia had not trouble paying for the turbines. It was that the US tried to keep them out of Crimea. And turbines make electricity. From other sources of power, That they imported them says nothing about how much gas they have.

Solomon Krupacek

it is not the question of many.

I AM TALKING about IMPOSSIBILITY of russian inbdustry produce key elements in own plants!!!!

jetme

Do you know what “protective tariffs” are? Its where you tax things coming in from other countries so that the people have to buy what is made in their own country. They work very well to make industry grow, but they are very unpopular with the citizens so they don’t last long. Well sanctions are like protective tariffs. Sanctions are making Russian industry stronger not weaker. Russian people survived communism, they are hearty. And they will be stronger and more productive because of sanctions.

Solomon Krupacek

i dont see so, because the yearly reports of rosstat show something else.

Karel havlicek

Are you Šolomon Krupáček or Šolomon Křupáček? According to your grammar I guess the second is correct. :)

Solomon Krupacek

???

Solomon Krupacek

This cock reasoning is absolutely unnecessary.
