On June 5, videos documenting recent combat operations by the Russian military in several directions within the special military operation zone were posted to social networks.
Six of the videos showed dozens of recent attacks with FPV suicide drones. The attacks targeted everything, from Ukrainian troops, to positions and equipment, in Donetsk, Luhansk and other directions. At least 18 Baba Yaga armed drones were destroyed, along with several Western-made weapons, including several Humvee, International MaxxPro, Puma and M113 armored vehicles as well as M777 and M108 howitzers.
Another video showed a recent strike with a Lancet loitering munition that targeted a Ukrainian unit operating Baba Yaga drones somewhere in the special military operation zone. The strike destroyed one of the unit’s vehicles, two drones and left at least two operators dead or wounded, according to the footage.
One more video shows an attack with a Geran suicide drone on a large ammunition depot of Kiev forces near the settlement of Druzhkivka in Donetsk.
In addition, the Russian Ministry of Defense and media shared footage documenting recent offensive operations against Ukrainian positions in Donetsk.
The Russian MoD announced in its daily briefing that missile and drone strikes hit “drone manufacturing shops, ammunition depots, temporary deployment areas of the AFU [Armed Forces of Ukraine] and foreign mercenaries in 142 areas” within the last 24 hours.
Air defense also shot down one M142 HIMARS and 154 fixed-wing drones, including 60 outside the special military operation zone, according to the ministry.
According to the ministry, Kiev forces have lost 663 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 60,470 drones, 610 air defense systems, 23,766 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,568 multiple rocket launchers, 25,743 artillery pieces, and 36,485 support vehicles since the start of the special military operation.
