On April 10, fresh supplies for the U.S.-led coalition arrived in a base near the city of al-Hasakah in Syria’s northeastern region.
The North Press Agency (NPA) released a video of 20 trucks carrying the supplies, which may have included weapons and ammunition. The trucks were escorted by several armored vehicles of the U.S. military.
The new supplies arrived from the Iraqi Kurdistan Region through the Semalka border crossing. Earlier this month, the river crossing flooded, which forced the coalition to airdrop supplies to its troops in northeast Syria.
Around 500 U.S. service members are currently deployed in northeast Syria, near key oil fields in the governorates of al-Hasakah and Deir Ezzor. These forces are allegedly “guarding” the fields from ISIS cells.
The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and locals in northeast Syria have been coordinating to restrict the movement of coalition forces in the region. Coalition patrols are being prohibited from entering some areas, especially in northern al-Hasakah. Yet, new supplies and reinforcements are still arriving in the region.
those border crossings should be incinerated same as the ones from Turkey should have been,why they haven’t i have no idea,in any war the enemy supply lines are hit.
The Samelka border crossing, especially should be a priority # 1 for the SAA, but the Bazarian Kurds own the Iraqi side, and money is their middle name.
