Since December 1, the project has collected 1018 USD. This is about 20% of the minimal budget [5,000 USD] needed to continue the project.

In December, SouthFront started working on two new exclusive in-depth documentaries:

“Face of Terror: Jabhat al-Nusra” – a documentary on Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) – its history, military capabilities, structure, funding, allegiances and role in the Syrian war.
“Putin’s Russia” – a documentary on the results of Putin’s presidency over the last years. It will provide a look at the Russian foreign and internal policies, their weak and strong sides, the current political and social situation in the country as well as forecast of challenges and risks, which Russia will face in 2018.

Thanks to the audience’s help, SouthFront is going to release the documentary on Jabhat al-Nusra in the first half of January. The documentary on Russia will likely be ready in late January or early February.

The previously released in-depth documentaries: Hezbollah – Capabilities And Role In The Middle East, Popular Mobilization Units: Military Capabilities, Their Role In Iraq and Middle East.

In the fist days of 2018, SouthFront is also releasing our general analysis summarizing the developments of 2017 and forecasting the geo-political trends of 2018.
