The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has liberated the villages of Al-Mazbal and Mas’adah in the ISIS-held pocket in eastern Hama. The villages are located in the southwestern part of the pocket.
On September 21, reports appeared that ISIS fighters in the eastern Hama pocket and the Syrian government reached a withdrawal agreement. The agreement will allow ISIS members to withdraw to Idlib or Deir Ezzor provinces, according to different sources. However, this still has to be confirmed.
