On October 2, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies liberated the villages of Rubayah and Mughayzil from ISIS terrorists in the eastern Salamiyah pocket where a large group of ISIS members was encircled in August.

Since August, the ISIS held area have decreased from 3,270 km2 to 480 km2 and it is shrinking further. The SAA have been pressuring on ISIS units on multiple frontlines.

The current goal of government forces is to divide the ISIS-held area into two separate parts. If this is done, the SAA will be able to defeat the remaining groups of ISIS members one by one.

Once the vermin are fumigated, these troops will be freed to help fend off the ISIS counter-attacks in Deir-Ezzor.

kudos to the superheroes from syria and her true allies for such tireless feat in warfare … God sent

Zainab Ali

hoping this shrinking feat will be also achieved against the illegitimate yankee led coalition in the near future

Must be getting hot in there.

The division into two pockets will make them easier to deal with and limit their mobility hopefully this will not be prolonged in dealing with them.

Xanatos

The clearing if this pocket will do nothing for three offensive on other fronts. These are NDF fighters led by shoddy SAA battalions. The SAA are good only for rear guard , and the NDF will go back to the communities they came from.

The benefit will be the re allocation of air support to other areas.

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

These aren’t shoddy NDF forces as they are actually police reserves as they are trained for everything from VIP guarding and maintaining police checkpoints. Seems even you know little of their training and what they do, soldiers they are not but national police they are trained for that job but like all police forces globally they are used in reserve forces. These ones go to where the combat is as support defense forces ,where regular soldiers can then be used as assault forces.

The air support is allocated by region until DE air base is fully functional and Russian base is fully underway then they may allocate air support there.

Kell

Hopefully not long now.
