Syria Map Update: Military Situation In Province Of Quneitra

Support SouthFront

Tensions remain high between Syrian government forces and Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) in the province of Quneitra.

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies have conducted a series of limited operations in the Beit Jinn pocket and near Khan Arnabah, but they have failed to achieve any groundbreaking success in within effort.

It looks like the Jews are supporting a terrorist proxy force to hold a buffer zone on the Golan to drain Syrian government coalition resources for as long as possible to impair progress in other areas of Syria.

Alpha&Omega

Precisely!

goingbrokes

Like Paul Craig Roberts (PCR), I question Vladimir Putin’s judgement in withdrawing Russian forces at at time when the United States is sending in more troops. See “Is Putin so anxious to show that Russia is not an occupying power that he is again premature in withdrawal from Syria?” at https://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2017/12/11/putin-anxious-show-russia-not-occupying-power-premature-withdrawal-syria/ .This story is very succint, even by PCR’s statndards. Apart from an RT story, “Putin orders withdrawal of Russian troops from Syria during surprise visit to Khmeimim Airbase” (11/12/17) at https://www.rt.com/news/412690-putin-syria-comes-khmeimim/, you have already read all that Paul Craig Roberts has to say. Nevertheless, all that needs to be said has been stated.

From above story: “The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies have conducted a series of limited operations in the Beit Jinn pocket and near Khan Arnabah, but they have failed to achieve any groundbreaking success in within effort.”

So, in this corner of Syria at least, the terrorist invaders are still able to resist the Syrian Arab Army and, presumbaly, inflict casualties.

Until the last terrorist pocket within Syria is eliminated, how can Syrians hope for an enduring peace? As long as the takfiri terrorists are able to operate from any pocket of territory within Syria, Syria’s enemies can go on inflicting chaos. As long as the chaos continues, what guarantee is there that the US, Israel and their allies won’t, once again, ignite a war to overthrow the Syrian government?

Don’t be so hasty. Maskirovka is a tried and proven strategy.

Attrition47

He’s done it before and it’s consistent with the announcement that the war with the US head-chopping, heart-eating rapers is won. I see it as a tactic not a strategy….

Feudalism Victory

I think people dont understand russias position. They just wanted to assert the primacy of the state over non state actors(hezbollah being an unavoidable exception) and to kill isis before they were sent into russia itself after syria.

They arent on a suicide mission to fight assads fights especially if he doesnt want to treat non arabs as equals. Its the syrian arab republic after all.

Damned socialists think some one else should do all the work for them. Get off the hookas and fight!

Isn’t it funny how all that green area is right by Israel? once ISIS is defeated fuck the agreements wipe this area out get rid of the rats

Mikronos

What’s the nasty-looking black area next to Israel at the bottom of the map? Those aren’t Jordanian flags.

Solomon Krupacek

dutchnational

You on the other hand spread a distinctive antisemite stench.

Icarus Tanović

No, I’m not. Semitic people are Arabs too. But, speaking from your perspective, again I’m not. Check your fire, mate.

Icarus Tanović

Guys, days of the Beit Jinn pocket are NUMBERED. Just wait and see.
