The recently liberated from ISIS Palmyra’s Airbase is ready to back online, the pro-government sources reported on Mar.28. The operational airbase will allow the Syrian forces to increase the supplies of the units involved in the ground operation in the area.
Russian and Syrian fighter helicopters operationing in the Homs province will also get a forward base which allow them to expand operations there.

ISIS militants were pushed from Palmyra and Palmyar’s Airbase on Mar. 27.
I too smiled when Uncle Sam tried to grab a piece of the glory by bombing the desert around Palmyra, not once but twice, when it became evident that the city would fall and ISIS routed.
