According to Syrian Prime Minister Wael Nader Halaki, pro-government forces are preparing a military opertion in Aleppo.
“We, together with our Russian partners, are preparing for an operation to liberate Aleppo and to block all illegal armed groups which have not joined or [which have] broken the ceasefire deal,” Russian news agency TASS cited Wael Halaki on Sunday.
The Syrian official noted that Deir ez-Zor would be the next major target after taking control of Aleppo.
Russia’s Defense Ministry has note commented on the report, yet. However, there are a number of indications that the pro-government forces are preparing such operation.
Furthremore, diverse range of militant groups increased its activity in the Aleppo province, recently.
