Syrian Air Force warplanes destroyed four positions of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) in Al-Qaboun district east of the capital of Damascus.
The Fourth Armoured Division also captured the headquarters of the Bilal al-Habashi militant group, one of Free Syrian Army groups, where weapons and stored food were found along with valuable items stolen by the group’s militants from locals of the Al-Qaboun district.
In Eastern Ghouta, Jaish al-Islam announced the end of its military operation against the Al-Rahman Corps and HTS.
This announcement came following demands from many factions of the Syrian opposition and pro-opposition media activists. However, Jaish al-Islam called on other factions of the Free Syrian Army to continue fighting against HTS in their areas.
Jaish al-Islam said in its statement that its operation had achieved its objectives. However, local sources in the Eastern Ghouta region said that Al-Rahman Corps and HTS managed yesterday to regain control of Arbeen and Beit Sawa, adding that Jaish al-Islam failed to capture any area during its operation.
During the clashes, 170 people were killed, including civilians, according to some opposition sources. Clashes are still ongoing in some areas of Eastern Ghouta.
