On October 9, the Syrian Air Force made a series of air raids, hitting terrorist targets in the provinces of Hama and Idlib.

According to the Syrian state-run news agency ‘SANA’, Syrian warplanes targeted theterrorists’ positions at the areas of Khan Shaykhun, al-Tamana’ah, Jisr al-Hish, Saraqib and Jisr al-Shughur. The targets mainly belonged to Jabhat Fatah al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra).

In the province of Hama, the Syrian Air Force bombed terrorist targets at Murak, Taybat al-Imam,  Suran, Atshan and al-Lataminah. Syrian warplanes intensified air raids in the province amid the ongoing counter-attack by the pro-governmnet forces.

This weekend, the Syrian army and the National Defense Forces (NDF) have regained singificant areas from Jund al-Aqsa, Jabhat Fatah al-Sham and Ahrar al-Sham terrorist groups in the province. The counter-attack is ongoing with some clashes in the strategic town of Ma’an.

Considering the US administration is considering eliminating the Syrian and Russian air forces in creating a no fly zone over Syria. I wonder if the use of Iranian “Saeqeh” or “Lightningbolt” RQ170’s , flying in a protective “escort” would be feasible . Three or four might be able to fend off targeting fire. If nothing else , they could dramatically increase payload.
