Syrian and Russian warplanes carried out more than 50 airstrikes on terrorist positions in the governorates of Idlib and Hama on May 1, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).
The UK-based monitoring group said that the airstrikes targeted the towns of Hobait, Karsaa, Rakaya, al-Naqeer, Tell ‘As, Kafr Ein, Tramla in southern Idlib, as well as the towns of Kafr Nabudah, al-Banah, Sahriyah, J’atah, Alamerea, Qalaat al-Madiq and al-Enkawi in northern Hama.
Last week, terrorists hiding in Idlib and its surroundings launched dozens of rockets at several civilian areas in central Syria and at the Russian Hmeimim airbase on the Syrian coast. In response to these attacks, the Russian Aerospace Forces and the Syrian Arab Air Force (SyAAF) resumed their aerial operations.
Pro-government sources are claiming that these intense airstrikes are a part of ongoing perpetrations by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) to launch a large-scale operation around Idlib. According to Syria’s al-Watan newspaper, the alleged operation will target terrorists stationed within the demoralized zone.
However, it remains unclear if Russia would support such an operation. Moscow appears to be still committed to its agreement with Ankara, that’s designed to stabilize the situation in Idlib by peaceful measures. These new airstrikes could be an attempt to deter the remaining terrorists in northwestern Syria and enforce the agreement.

Russia-Syria even can make hundreds of airstriks, but without having total control of the area ( SAA offensive) these actions are just time delaying for more terrorists attacks, that is all. SAA must take total control of Idlib area if it wants to recover land and to stop these systematic terrorists attacks.
The SAA is spread thin on the ground due to demographics and only large scale Russian and Iranian ground intervention will drive the terrorists out. The SAA has suffered more casualties in the last month as US and Turkey have recruited and armed more terrorists and moved them from Iraq.
The bomb drops a long time. From 0.31 in the video to about 1.03. That is 32 seconds. So if the bomb falls about 100m/s it appears it was dropped from a height of 3km. Does that sound right?
Russia needs to get serious about eliminating the Salafist terrorist threat from Idlib as Turkey is as usual backstabbing Russia as according to regional media four Russian soldiers were killed by Turkish sponsored FSA terrorists which are in reality Turkish Special Forces in mufti. US wants to turn Idlib and Syria into another Russian Afghanistan.

The place is crawling with mercenaries abusing the population and even attacking the Russian base. What do they mean “stabilize the situation” by peaceful measures? It just boggles my mind. It does not compute. The intentions of the Russians are somehow camouflaged in this.
For Russia Turkey is more important than Idlib.
Turkey has 2 suitors, the Americans who slap her around and Russia. Russia wants to win her heart, so allows her to be unfaithful. Russia is also making a move on Germany.
Well, that’s a novel way of explaining it. So then “Russia” says to Assad: “You have a right to defend your country, I’m not going to stop you [or help you], so go ahead and kill yourself”
Not quite as blunt as that, because Russia wants its troops in Syria to stop the American gas pipeline. But realistically the US has terrorist groups and regular forces all over the world, and most are causing trouble. Short of nuking the US, Russia cannot take down the beast by itself. Russia is looking after Russia, countries like Syria, and Venezuela should have been more proactive in their own defense against American aggression.
Thanks, I was not clear about what exactly Russia was doing in Syria. Otherwise I’m pretty well caught up about US foreign policy and deceptive “narrative”. The beast will eventually die of old age, or self-destruct, not being “sustainable” anyway. Or we will exchange some atomic devices and get the “rapture” they hope for. Unbelievable.
