Syrian Army Advances In Northern Lattakia, Captures Two Key Hilltops

Illustrative image

After more than 24 hours of heavy clashes with Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and other terrorist groups, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) 4th Division captured two key hilltops in the northern Hama countryside.

According to pro-government sources, army units managed to secure the al-Zuiqat and 112 hills. Both hills overlook the town of Kabani, a stronghold of several terrorist groups.

A source in the 4th Division told SouthFront that over 100 militants, mostly foreigners, were killed or injured during the clashes in northern Lattakia.

Two days ago, militants stationed in Kabani launched a barrage of rockets at the Russian Hmeimim airbase in southern Lattakia. The rockets landed in the airbase’s outskirt, killing two civilians and injuring four others.

If the army success in capturing Kabani, HTS and its allies will be forced to withdraw from large parts of the northern Lattakia countryside. The town overlooks most of the militants’ supply routes in the region.

It’s obvious that the SAA will succeed, in Kabani and the rest.

I hope Russia does not ask SAA to make another stupid ceasefire.

Assad must stay (gr8rambino)

recently everyday on almsdarnews i see SAA scoring new advances left and right, it brings a tear to my eye honestly, i get all choked up on because of how proud and happy it makes me

You can call me Al

You have every right to have those feelings. Wars have ups and downs, the SAA has had it’s fill of downs and now it is up, up and beyond until the final dead piece of vermin is pissed on.

Willing Conscience (The Truths

What the hell is this article trying to tell us, Kabani [Kbanah] isn’t an important supply route at all, it only has two roads in and out of the village and the SAA control the western entrance, if anything it’s the arse end of the supply route, not an important transit point. The village only has less than 1000 residents but it’s strategically important because it overlooks some small villages in Northern Hama that are located close to the highway and the the river, two strategic locations the SAA will need to secure before they can advance into Idlib, kabani and several other small villages will also have to be secured before that can happen. The villages near the highway and river have to be retaken and secured before the SAA can use either the river or the highway, but kabani and the other villages have to be retaken and secured first because the towns right next to the highway and river can’t be kept safe until the villages that overlook them are secured first, hence the importance of kabani and several other villages that hold the high ground nearby. Whoever wrote this article is a total moron and should get the sack, talk about fake news, we can see for ourselves by looking at the map the story is complete BS, important supply route my arse.
