According to the Hezbollah media wing in Syria, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) continued its operations east of Al-Heel field, where it advanced 2 km to become less than 9 km away from the strategic Sukhna town. During the clashes, the SAA managed to kill and wound a number of ISIS fighters.

Moreover, according to pro-government sources, 25 Syrian soldiers were killed east of the T-3 station as a result of a rapid attack by ISIS fighters.

From its side, ISIS claimed that its fighters managed to repel an SAA attack on the village of Hassou al-Albawi in the eastern Hama countryside, killing 4 Syrian soldiers and wounding 6 others.

Pro-government sources claimed that the SAA, Tribal Forces and the Tiger Forces managed to advance 30 km towards the Euphrates River and reached the villages of Dalha and Akirishi on the West Bank of the Euphrates River. This claim hasn’t been confirmed so far.

ISIS announced that the Syrian warplanes and helicopters carried out 23 air strikes on the villages of Ghanem al-Ali and Zour Shamr on the West Bank of the Euphrates south-east of Dalha village, confirming SAA is at least close to the west bank of Euphrates River.

US officials announced that the Russian Air Force had transferred three Su-25sm Close Air Support fighters to the T4 air base in the eastern Homs countryside. It’s believed that the fighters will provide air support to the SAA and its allies during the battle of Sokhna and the operation towards Deir Ezzour.

Helicopter gunships need to be flying 24/7 the pressure from the air must be relentless, as the final battles for Syria intensify casualties will be high. Dont like to give Iran&Hezbollaha hard time, it is their troops on the line, however now is the time. Russia should throw in as many attack helicopters as they can gather with Iran&allies throwing in another 25,000 troops, we are at the stage of land grab before negotiations proper begin

agreed :))) its now or never!

goingbrokes

I salute your enthusiasm, but frankly now is not the time to make rash decisions and “throw everything at it” sort of thing. The pressure on Deir-Ezzor city is much less already, ISUS simply could not ignore the advances of SAA and bash away at D-E. Barring a complete debacle to the SAA the city is much safer than for a long time and will be liberated in due course. This war has been won so far with carefully calculated moves that have out manoeuvred the enemy, and that is how the rest of it will be won too. No high casualty operations will be approved, even if it takes a bit longer to achieve the goals. Every soldier that dies against this worthless proxy scum is a loss. Syria needs its Army intact and experienced after the insurgencies have been defeated. There are further enemies after the shithadists have been defeated.

Sure absolutely. Whenever I hear how so many SAA troops died, it saddens me, but then I remember how they died not in an attempt to conquer or enslave another people, but rather in the defense of their homeland, and I believe there is no greater glory than this :)))

This is very interesting, it could be that SAA has moved towards Dalha to at least secure the road junction about 6KM south of N4, a major road that is parallel to the river.
