On Friday, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies captured Tarfawi village south of Abu al-Alaya village in the eastern Homs countryside, according to Hezbollah’s media wing in Syria.
The SAA also began advancing towards Al-Salhiya village south of Tarfawi village, according to other pro-government sources.
It’s believed that the SAA will continue its advance in the eastern direction from Abu al-Alaya area in the eastern Homs countryside towards its positions north of Al-Sha’er gas field in order to capture the whole area north of T4 airbase and to increase the pressure on ISIS in Aqirbat town in the eastern Hama countryside.
The SAA allegedly captured a military point 2km east of Sukhna town on the Sukhna – Deir Ezzor road, while the Syrian military engineer units continue clearing Sukhna city from mines and IEDs.
On the other side, ISIS fighters attacked a SAA position north of Al-Qadir village in the eastern Homs countryside. ISIS fighters managed to kill and injure a number of Syrian soldiers, captured a tank and destroyed another tank with an ATGM.
