On September 2, the Syrian army and Hezbollah made a new push in order to seize the Ramouseh Artillery Base in southwestern Aleppo.
The pro-government forces are advnacing on Jaish al-Fatah militants from 2 directions:
- from the recently captured Techincal College north of the base
- from the Tall Sanoubrat hill south of the base
The Tall Hawas hill is a tactical goal of the Syrian army in the southern part of the base. If the pro-government forces are able to capture it and intrench there, they will gain a site that overloks the Military College and set a fire control of a major part of the Ramouseh Artillery Base.
The fresh advance of pro-government forces followed a daly long artillery shelling and massive air strikes on militant targets in the area.
