On November 16, the Syrian army, Hezbollah and other pro-government groups liberated the area of Aqrab in the western part of Aleppo city.
November 16 morning, the government forces launched a preemptive shelling of Jaish al-Fatah militants in Aqrab and then attacked their positions. Following a series of clashes, the army and its allies boke the militnats’ defenses to seize the area. Most of militants withdrew from Aqrab to al-Rashidin 4, according to reports.
With liberation of Aqrab, the government forces reversed all gains achieved by Jaish al-Fatah in western Aleppo during its major offensive in the area.

At the very start, or even before, SouthFront predicted that the militant offensive in West Aleppo would fail. Events have validated that prediction. I make this point as credibility is built on track record. So going forwards I for one will have greater confidence in any other predictions I read here.

Aqrab wasn’t liberated, just because militants withdrew you can’t say it’s liberated, it’s essentially no-mans land atm, like Bir Tawil, Antarctica or the Moon. Only difference between those terra nullius and Aqrab is that Aqrab got crapton of IEDs all over the place.
So, salvic man, the red army did not liberated those territories, where the nazis retreated without fights? :P
