On November 17, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) artillery and rocket launchers shelled militant positions in the towns of al-Tamanah, Aziziya and Jarjnaz in the southern Idlib countryside. No civilians were reportedly hurt as a result of the shelling.
Some Syrian pro-government activists said that the shelling was a response to a recent attack in northern Lattakia, which resulted in the death of more than 18 Syrian soldiers. However, others viewed the shelling as a sign of a nearing attack.
A day earlier, several reports said that the SAA and its allies are preparing to launch a large-scale military operation against the militants in northwestern Syria. The operations will supposedly be a response to the repeated violations of the Russian-Turkish deconfliction agreement.
The operation, which will be limited, will kick off in few days, according to several pro-government sources. However, this is yet to be confirmed.
As far as SAA does not make the offensive procedure in this area, this bombing is really useless at all.

these artillery and missile strike dont kill nobody….maybe by accident once in a while but these “attacks” have more of a psychological warfare to them…..the enemy is dug in in trenches…..just like SAA too, which get attacked by artillery , mortar and missile too, and they too suffer casualties only once in a while, because they r ALL entrenched. Ground attack will have to come sooner than later…only problem now is on the geopolitical stage between russia and turkey…..hence russia cant give the green light to SAA to attack idlib because of turkey and the wider strategic thinking of russia(turkey is natos southern flank…and putin wants to get rid of them, make turkey leave nato), and the consequences would be desastrous for all if TAF and SAA go head on in idlib…this again would make the jews and the usa happy, so putin is trying to avoid this…… my best quess is that putin is waiting till TAF and “their” jihadis attack YPG/US forces in the east starting with kobane and manjib…..thats when putin can reason with erdogan to give up idlib because of the possible two front war for TAF….

Erdogan is chaffing at the bit to get to Kobani, he’s got 6500 murderers ready and waiting to invade the Kurdish enclave and turn it into a refugee settlement. When he does, it’ll be just about the right time to start the Idlib campaign. The Kurds are about to hit Erdogan in such a way that he’ll be forced to invade Kobani, they’ll HAPPILY give him the excuse he needs to invade the area, and when he does it’s also be a green light for the SAA to do the same to Idlib. Erdogan will be fighting on not just 2 different fronts, but 3. Russia and the SAA in Idlib, Russia, SAA and Kurds in central Aleppo, and the Kurds and Arab militias in eastern Aleppo.
