The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) artillery and heavy rocket launchers shelled several towns in the opposition-held part of the governorates of Idlib and Hama on January 19, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).
The pro-opposition monitoring group said that the shelling targeted the towns of Sahal, Brisah, Hbit and Najiyeh in Idlib and the towns of Jisr Beit al-Ras, Maarkaba, Kafr Zita and al-Janabirah in Hama.
According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), the artillery and rocket strikes were a response to new violations of the Russian-Turkish demilitarized zone agreement. The state-run agency claimed that the strikes killed and injured many militants and destroyed some of their military equipment.
Earlier, Turkey’s national defense minister claimed that his country is implementing its commitments within the demilitarized zone agreement. However, the tense situation around Idlib shows otherwise.
Local observers believe that the SAA and its allies may launch a limited military operation around Idlib, if the upcoming Russian-Turkish presidential summit fail to find a solution for the deteriorating situation around the northern governorate.
How is this possible ? Just a moment ago Turkey is saying that everything is under control because it has implemented sucessfully the Russia-Turkey agreement about Idlib zone. Even more, Russia has declared that Turkey just need a little bite more time (Maybe 100 years) to have everything under control. Well, I consider that Russia stopped Syria-Iran-Hezbolah-Russia ground troop offensive in Idlib to please Turkey.
You “consider” wrong, your deduction is WRONG. If Russia “stopped Syria-Iran-Hezbolah-Russia ground troop offensive in Idlib to please Turkey” Why than SAA is making “response to new violations of the…demilitarized zone agreement”?!
That means clearly (even in this article) that Assad has ACCEPTED agreement that was created by Russia, Iran,Turkey and that he knows the conditions of the agreement and he is punishing other side for breaching agreement !
You deliberately ignore what is written opposite of your deduction and cherry pick what suits your accusation and twist things! Or you simply claim something despite obvious evidence that your logic is not accurate or you don’t understand English.
What Turkey is saying nobody else is saying because it simply not true! Russia has repeated endless time that agreement has not been implemented and what is going to happen obviously doesn’t depend on Russia but on many different things!
Russia does NOT declare that Turkey “needs a little bite more time” any more!
They’re just sharpening their skills before the real thing happens. Assad must be really cruel to his SAA soldiers, he must be beating them back with sticks to stop them attacking the weakened and vulnerable HTS fighters stationed just metres away from them, it’s the only thing he could be doing to stop the SAA attacking HTS like a pack of savage dogs isn’t it? Put down the stick Assad, let go of the leash, let the dogs of war have their fill of HTS flesh, you’ve starved them long enough, let the brave SAA quench their hunger now, it’ll revive them and spur them on for more of the same when they’re finished, the NFL fighters are going to taste even better when their time comes, though Turkish soldier are really the tastiest, but desert is always the last course served and we haven’t even had starters yet, YUM YUM, I’m drooling like a dog already.
