On January 30, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) artillery shelled the opposition-held towns of al-Lataminah and Tell Sakr in the northern Hama countryside and the towns of Msheirfeh and Farja in the southeastern Idlib countryside.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), reconnaissance planes were seen flying over the targeted areas.
The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) said that the shelling was a response to new violations of the Russian-Turkish demilitarized zone agreement on Idlib. Under the agreement, that was reached last September, radical militants are not allowed to be present within a 15-20km reduce around the northern governorate.
Most of these violations were carried out by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and its ally Jaysh al-Izza. While Turkey ignores the HTS presence in the demilitarized zone, it actively supports Jaysh al-Izza.
Last week, Russia’s President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan agreed to work on additional measures to implement the demilitarized zone agreement. However, Ankara continues to ignore this part of its commitments.
No news from the Idlib front it would seem.
Once again, Russia will have to send help to Syria for de-head-chopperization. This time though, Putin should send help THROUGH Turkey, not just over it. As in: plenty of mechanized armor divisions.

Stop shelling and starts the offensive in Idlib, and send Turkey-Russia agreement to the toilet.
