Troops of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) have attacked positions of militant groups in the area near the administrative border between the provicnes of Hama and Idlib, the Syrian state-run media said on August 7.

According to reports, the SAA destroyed some number of militant fortified sites located at their supply lines leading from northern Hama to southern Idlib.

The strikes hit militant positions in the villages of Lahaya and al-Latamina, located about 35 km north of the city of Hama killing a number of militants and destroying their weapons and equipment.

On the same time, the SAA repelled a militant attack in the area near the village of al-Hayat in northern Latakia.

Earlier, the SAA deployed additional reinforcements in northern Latakia. These additional troops and equipment allowed government forces to strengthen their positions and to prepare for further military actions in the area.

Northern Latakia, southern Idlib and northern Hama remain the areas of a high level of activity of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) and its allied groups. They use these areas to carry out attacks on government positions violating the de-escalation zone agreement reached in the framework of the Astana talks format.

Jonathan Murray

Secret tunnel to Jordan?

PZIVJ

I’m sure the Turks brought some supplies into N Hama when they set up observation posts there. Perhaps they left the warehouses unguarded and things just disappeared. :D

Mustafa Mehmet

Of course good guess. Someone has to blame turkey ??

You can call me Al

Good question that; I never thought of it. So either the Turks or my guess the Yanker scum.

Mustafa Mehmet

no Israel?

Peter Jennings

The jihadists should put their families first and not some failed foreign cause, for which they have already been soundly defeated, still allowed their freedom, and shown very clearly that the vast majority of people in Syria do not want their form of gov’t. For those who still want to throw their weight about and terrorise those who disagree with their views, time is running out, and maybe that’s a good thing.

Syria will bloom again when you are gone.

Assad must stay (gr8rambino)

from your mouth to gods ears :))))))))))))))

I do like that comment of yours, both very telling + something else (positive), but I dont really have the words yet. Good one – comment of the day.

haha yes!!! thank you :)))

They should stay and fertilize Syria’s lands and water the fields with their blood!

Peter Jennings

Quite a few, who never twigged on to foreign planners and those that did know but didn’t care, have already turned to dust in the deserts and under buildings. It will all make good landfill or hardcore for roads.

Ivan Freely

Any signs of the Chinese? Or were they talking out of their asses again?

Assad must stay (gr8rambino)

lol i hope not

Icarus Tanović

Okay, but why not?

Assad must stay (gr8rambino)

no i meant i hope china wasnt talking out of their asses and was for real this time

Assad must stay (gr8rambino)

very good, SAA should also damage and/or wipe out the bases where they launch those pesky drones from to attack the russian base at hmeim

Icarus Tanović

This was crazy good. Turks mingled around and created sence of safety in their monkey animal mindset. But seem that Turks are holding Astana talks to the last letter. Wahhabis are gonna be leveled this time, this time Israel can show them their hospitality. Or just kill them all.
