On October 25 afternoon, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) began deploying troops west of the border city of Qamishli in the northern al-Hasakah countryside, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

“Army units are moving from the city of Qamishli to deploy in the city’s western countryside in order to confront the Turkish aggression and protect the locals,” the SANA’s reporter in al-Hasakah said.

SAA troops will likely be stationed along the border with Turkey. The army is set to establish 15 observation post along the border line under a Russian-Turkish agreement reached earlier this week.

A day earlier, at least 1,300 Syrian troops and 160 vehicles arrived in the border town of Kobane, about 200km to the west of Qamishli.

A breakthrough agreement between the Damascus government and the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) allowed the SAA to enter the country’s northeastern region a few weeks ago.

FAQ turkey!

Good to hear. Syrian territory is going back to the Syrian authorities, and the wonderful “heroic” Kurds will have to hope for a correct deal and maybe some autonomy in negotiations with the Assad-government.. So peace may come on this new basis. And some day in future all the turkish backed non-patriots should leave as fast as they can resp. as the Yanks are doing these days…
