The Highway near Raqqa is lighly defended and the SDF are actually further from the river . They have between 5000-7000 Sons of Raqqa with the Tiger forces, so there is a good probability this is true. The US/SDF forces have ordered the FSA to leave the battle of Raqqa , because the SDF refused to move into the positions they captured. The soap opera that is the SDF is truly sad and dysfunctional army.
If SDF is dysfunctional this is great news. Could be the Sons of Raqqa will receive more Sunni reinforcements, and SDF progress towards Deir Ezzor will be slowed down.
