The Syrian Arab Army (SAA), the Syrian Republican Guard (SRG) and other pro-government factions continued crushing ISIS in the countryside of Deir Ezzor and in the eastern countryside of Salamiyah.
On Firday, government troops captured the areas of Huwaijat and Muraieiah southeast of Deir Ezzor Airport, according to the Hezbollah media wing in Syria. The SAA also captured Ayyash area northwest of Deir Ezzor city.
Meanwhile, the SAA captured Duhur al-Khinzer, Abu Thraha and al-Shandakhyah al-Janubyah villages inside the ISIS pocket east of Salamiyah city in the eastern Homs countryside. According to the Hezbollah media wing the SAA killed and wounded several ISIS fighters and destroyed their vehicles during its advance.
The ISIS-linked news agency Amaq claimed that a VBIED attacked a position of the SAA southwest of Jib al-Jarah area in the eastern Homs countryside. According to Amaq, 15 SAA soldiers were killed and two tanks were damaged in the attack.
ISIS also claimed that 9 other SAA soldiers were killed after they entered a mine field southwest of Jib al-Jarah area. Moreover, Amaq claimed that ISIS fighters destroyed two tanks of the SAA with ATGMs near the al-Jarah area.
The SAA increased its pressure on the remaining ISIS fighters in the Eastern Hama/Homs countryside pocket during the last week. ISIS resistance in the pocket also become more effective. However, it was not effective enough to stop the SAA advance.
Row, row, row your boat, gentle down the ISIS stream, merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, life is but a dream.
They need to get to the road on the other side of the river if they want to cut off the SDF-Kurds. see the red line on the right on the map I attached below. The SDF is already on that road just two miles North (off the map).
I think they know what is at stake here. It would be logical to do an airlift over to the road, just 3 miles, at the same time they cross the river. But first, Russia is going to carpet bomb that area with long-range Tu-22M3 bombers, flying all the way from Russia. This will probably happen tonight.

Sleep well tonight ISIS. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/0f1cc23dd7222cd243d2e4d23b3650735d0ddb0bfa8d4dafe826b4defd86af02.jpg
We hope they sleep for ever and ever.
RIP, ISIS, with the well-recycled 80 “virgins”, more like hungry worms and maggots!
best case scenario has always been 72 virgins. But what they don’t tell them is all 72 are Goat virgins ! BBaaahhhh
72 sickly second-hand ebola goats and camels
poor terrified creatures :(
they must stand united to protect each other against the crazy terrorists! they can even teach each other a bunch of tricks! the goats can help their camel friends master their impressive headbutting technique, an ancient skill that has been passed down from generation to generation among the elite commando goats! and the camels can show their goats buddies their secret ability that has been taught to them by their horse cousins, which involves using their hooves as mallets to deliver powerful skull-splitting kicks!
that’ll scare the evil terrorists away!
and worst case scenario, the camels can just teach the goats how to properly manage their water.. and then they’ll be able to plan a glorious escape and simply run away into the desert and walk until they reach civilized areas where they will be cared for and treated with respect by their human friends!
Sorry, I seem to have fallen for virgin inflation! I suppose it is better than virgin trains timekeeping!

The SDF advance seems to be stalling against the more difficult terrain of the river. While the SAA is still moving in both directions on the south shore. So there may be no need to rush a crossing of the river. Perhaps this is the strategy? :)
Yes SDF advanced rapidly against apparently light resistance. I’m not at all sure they have the manpower to consolidate and advance. Supply lines are also stretched and may cause difficulties. If they overreach – we know what ISUS will do. Or will they? But ISUS in Maadan and North of D-Ezzor is trapped. They have no chance to break out through SAA, so will they try to break out through Kurdish supply lines? Will they stay and die?
They ran into difficulties on Wednesday against an ISIS group from Iraq and have now been counter attacked in Hasakah, the US did exactly as you thought overstretched and have called up reinforcements that was meant for Raqqa.
Thanks for that! That was quick! US command is in such chaos – these advances are planned on the back of an envelope.
They ran into ISIS forces 15 km north of the Industrial zone and have been flanked after another ISIS group came up and broke the siege 2 days ago and flanked into Hasakah province prompting the US/SDF a withdrawal to Shahadaddi to reinforce. These might be the Iraqi ISIS in this region and they have a ton experience of fighting the US for years.
you again are for no need. you jihast one!
Look for a massive bombardment coming soon.
nothing happened
I just hope that the SAA has effectively managed to cross the river as announced in that earlier statement….Time to show the American chief terrorists the limits of their demented plan.
They did , just that they are not finished the operation, all their other advances are going fast as more ISIS surrender to the SAA in DE city. The big mouth commander who threatened them is the same jerk who attacked the SAA west of Taqba and again in the east pretending to be ISIS.
He Swears it was an ‘Accident’…
to the rats isis we will not miss them, in hell await 72 African blacks known as “onions” because they will make them cry. good trip to hell ISIS.
